Even if they have a terrific premise, some cast attached and some creative talent as well such as Producers/Directors. Can you explain the process of what happens within this phase the industry and why so many great projects don't come to fruition?

Over the snowy NJ weekend, my family and I watched Jumanji, Jack, Patch Adams & Dead Poets Society. All were first time watches for me besides DPS. Topped it off with the HBO Doc on Robin. Made me miss this man even more than I realized. Has there been a death within the industry of someone who hit you hard when it happened but now that time has passed, it's almost left a hole in cinema for you? Robin and Philip Seymour Hoffman are the standouts for me
