Update: Rebranding And Plans For 2022

Good afternoon, my lovelies. Hope you're all having a wonderful day.
A lot has happened over the last thirteen months of my life. When I first launched my Patreon page, I honestly did not expect to be earning more than 40-50 USD thanks to it. To see that threshold not only passed with aplomb but to have you folks comment and talk about my craft is humbling in a way that the me from the start of 2021 could not even dream of. I suppose I launched Patreon out of obligation than anything else. December had especially filled me with more confidence and determination than I had ever felt before in my whole life, especially thanks to the absolutely amazing few special persons I met thanks to FINAL FANTASY XIV. I honestly owe this game quite a bit, despite not having played it even once.
To summarize, if the story of my Patreon page was DARK SOULS, then this would be me the point at which I've defeated Ornstein & Smough with no damage. Needless to say, I feel kinda awesome.

Having spoken to many of you in private (and having experienced major transgressions late this year), I have ultimately come to realize that pin-up art is not my calling and that I wish to diverge from the subjects I worked on throughout 2021. As some of you are already aware, my dream is to draw a comic revolving around the character of Hornet, who had incidentally come to existence in no small part thanks to your kind support.
There is a small body of work (sketches, storyboards) I have been creating largely on the wayside during the year, that I want to become the focal point of my Patreon page. My plan is to have them amount to a full release of a graphic novel towards the end of 2022. The working title for the novel is Hornet: Origins. For those of you who wish to support the comic, the Patreon rewards will include additional exclusive material (wallpapers with signed dedication). The rewards will not include any explicit adult content, although rest assured I am not waiving my passion for drawing sexy, well-toned women that wear probably not quite enough clothing. Far from it. And Frank Frazetta be my witness.

Further update regarding Patreon rewards will follow in January. For this month, we are still going to have a poll for the Lady of the Month in a familiar format, with high-resolution artwork available in a safe for work batch. I realize this is vague, which is why this is the first of several updates I have planned for the nearby future and I do not fault anyone for canceling their pledge, should they do not wish to support my graphic novel. No hard feelings; I can't thank you enough for the support you've given me regardless.
Considering this is the last post I will make in 2021, let me personally thank each and every one of you:
- Claire Lovely, for being my first supporter to still hang around even at the end of the year and always using my emotes all over Discord;
- Krim and Sion, for supporting me way before Patreon was even a blip on the radar, for the unexpected Steam gift and for fervently hating on DARK SOULS III against the judgement of everybody else;
- Vivimancy, for being one of my earliest and most adamant Elite supporters, often commissioning me and just generally being amazing and lightening my mood up;
- Lone Mistborn, for supporting me as well as many, many other fledgling artists. People like you are the unsung heroes of every artist's quest to enrich the world with their talents and as someone who comes from a very blue-collar family, I can't stress how grateful I am for making me believe that art can be a real trade, that artists can make it out there and, more importantly, that we are needed more than we to think. Seriously, you're truly an insane man and I love you;
- Songbird, for always having something nice and inspirational to say, and for believing in me even during the lowest of the lows;
- Sylvecario, for many a bnuuy GPOSE picture and for the awesome enriching conversations we had on Twitter;
- Adelaide, for the insightful, inspirational conversations we shared in November;
- Ashenheart, for reaching back to me earlier this year and becoming a close friend. It truly feels like you've come back from the grave and you being here is one of the best things about 2021. Really, this is your year.
- and Eliza, for your cute lizard shenanigans.
Also shout out to all previous patrons, including Isma, Aryy, Seleucid and dVidar.
Thank you all sincerely for your support, no matter how much you've pledged. It's been awesome and I hope we'll meet on the road ahead.
Yours sincerely,
