Hey! Last week version 0.4.0 (alpha-4) was released on Android and iOS for all Patreon backers in the Early Tester and VIP tiers.

Support for map mods: ATS Expansion, ATS Promods Canada and ETS2 Promods Europe
The app now adapts correctly to vertical and horizontal orientations
You can now change zoom level with buttons while navigating and it stays there
New settings popup:
Toggle between metric/imperial units (kmh, mph)
Toggle job info top bar and fatigue timer
Toggle if U-turns are allowed in route suggestion
Navigation: Now it won't suggest U-turns, and highways get higher priority than smaller roads if the distance difference is not too large
Navigation: Rendering improvements, the suggested route should look much more smooth
Reduced app RAM usage by about 30 to 50%, should fix some crashes in lower-end devices
Navigation routing: No more wrong-way roads, the route should now track all intersections correctly
Fixed some cases where the suggested route wouldn't show for very long trips
Improved the location detection of some companies that were detected in wrong cities
Fixed IP input field not fitting some large IPs
Fixed some absurdly large icons in some routes
Mods that change city or company names break the suggested route feature, please keep them disabled for now. You should now see a warning inside the game when an invalid City or Company is detected.
Detaching and reattaching cargo can sometimes cause the suggested route to disappear
In ETS2 Promods map: Some companies are not detected correctly and a warning message "Company not found" shows
Work on version alpha-5 is already underway. The main focus is on:
Improving the PC-side telemetry server and plugin
This should allow support for real company name mods and fix the issue where the route disappears after detaching the trailer.
Making map mods modular
This is a bit technical, but it is an important step to support a wider variety of map mods and allow combinations.
Right now, adding a new map mod requires duplicating the original map data for each mod, which greatly increases app size. For example, the three new map mods in alpha-4 added about 250 MB, and this approach does not scale well.
With modular map mod data, the original map data would not be duplicated, so each new mod would add only a minimal size increase. This would allow us to support many more map mods and combinations.
Custom waypoints
Set a waypoint anywhere on the map directly from inside the app.
