Hey everyone!
As you may already know, I’m working on a comic. This idea has fully captured my attention. But it turns out that even an experienced artist finds it tough to tackle something like this for the first time. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions for me, ranging from inspiration to feeling overwhelmed and even desperate at times.
I’ve never been a huge comic fan, so a lot of this is new to me. I’m figuring out how to write scripts for comics, if I even need to in my case, what kind of speech bubbles to use, the font, panel layouts, and how to not overload the text, etc.
But the hardest part is adapting my style for such a big project. Usually, I spend anywhere from a couple of days to a week on a single illustration. But here, there are at least three on one page! It seems like this question will linger in my mind for a while. I’ll make the first comic according to my perfectionist standards, with all the details, even if it takes me way longer than the couple of weeks I whimsically thought at first. After that, we’ll see!
Anyway, I want to start posting it by the end of the month.
Wishing you all a fantastic Thursday!
