Yes! Of course we saw the new film and of course we recorded an episode about it, but that episode will take a while to edit, so here's the unedited video version so you can hear it right now. I'll warn you, it's a long one!
We make absolutely no concession to those who haven't seen the film, by the way, so only listen if you don't mind spoilers or have seen it.
The actual episode we'll be making out of this recording, which will appear in the normal podcast feed, will have a much nicer sound to it, this is the scrappy raw feed with the Skype audio and bad sound balancing (Chris is inaudible for the first ten minutes and too loud thereafter), but all of these are the things that will take me a while to fix, and the point of giving you this today is so you can have it immediately. So here it is!

2022-04-04 16:28:47 +0000 UTCI've only heard the first hour so far but my experience mostly mirrored that of Dave's, I really enjoyed it and laughed throughout. There is definitely a noticeable dip in the 2nd act but I can't say as I ever stopped enjoying it (possibly because I watched Sonic 1 for the first time the night before so the characters were all fresh in my head). I also thought they tied in the wedding stuff enough for it to be justified even though it was the least good part of the movie, for sure. Also I think Robotnik saying "Clatoo, Verata, Nicto" will genuinely be one of those movie moments that stays with me until.... well, I die, basically! I wanted to jump up and shout "DID EVERYONE HEAR THAT?!"
