Ain’t No Sunshine
Added 2020-01-01 01:22:08 +0000 UTCI wasn’t going to post this because I really don’t like how I performed this and that stage is such a weird design and the camera set up suuuucks but as usual I try to also share things I’m not so happy with in an effort to be gentle with myself and be vulnerable.
I created this act & costume while I was in Denver taking care of my Dad last year and was in a really dark place where I wondered if my people in Chicago really meant it when they said they missed me and that life wasn’t the same with me gone.
That’s why I chose that first song and why I look sad during the first part of the performance.
The second part is me coming come and feeling more like myself again.
I performed it earlier this year at the Fat Fun in the Sun show in Chicago.
