Okay, I figured out what was wrong with my computer. Something was wrong with the OS I had. I ran 10.9.4 when I first installed. Upgraded to 10.9.5 and the game ran fine. So yeah, don't download it on 10.9.4. Upgrade to 10.9.5, and it should run fine.
