We never got caught thank god. Although to be fair, I already kinda knew how to drive because my dad would take me to big empty parking lots around that age and let me drive and practice parking. Aced my written test with zero wrong questions and passed my first attempt at the road test on my birthday, the first day I could legally have a license.

Oh hell NO!! I was way too afraid of my Army dad to ever do such a thing. I never would have dreamt of doing anything like that. I mean I was a tad bit rebellious but not to that extent 😄.

We can't get permits to drive to school and work until 16 here on long island. License at 18, or 17 if you take drivers Ed.
With 3 million people and lots of traffic, you don't want anyone younger than that on the roads.

Never did that but I’m from the rural Midwest where no one locks anything. We used to move peoples vehicles in the school parking lot all the time. Was always fun watching them freak out when they couldn’t find their vehicle at first even tho it was just on the other side of the parking lot. I never really had to steal anyones car for a joyride because I had my school permit at 14 and had my own vehicle. I think I started driving around 8 or so. Out in the country only at that age tho.

Did anyone else take a joyride in someone else's car when they were Luke/Manny's age? My friend's sister had a shitty old 90's Kia and we would drive it around the block when she went out with friends. Probably 13 years old or so lol
