Butter Chicken Curry

A photography study.

It's my favorite dish, from my favorite place in town: an indian nepal restaurant. I usually get this dish along with nan, a flat bread.

Me and the cook had a talk the other day, about another client, that suggested that they open business in my home country. The conversation ended up covering some business strategies, suggestions, and talking a little about the culture of my birthplace. I ended up advising them to stay here. Stable income, safer, and people enjoy this style of curry more than the folks from my home country, in which curry is rarely eaten. And after all, if they stay, I get to continue eating there, hehee!

I had fun working on this piece. Learned a little about using masks to create better circular shapes, while not making it look artificial. I'm especially happy how the curry looks as creamy as the real dish looks, and the lighting and texture work on the wood table makes it a great contrast with the painted look of the rue.
