Earlier this week it dawned on me that in order to finish the Mia Kay's Favorite Monsters collection I was going to need to cut some corners. I've spent the last weeks trying so many different techniques, and learning all kinds of new ways to do things! I really just focused on sculpting rather than production. If you joined my livestreams this month, you probably noticed this. However, I'll admit that time got away from me. Though I know how to get serious and get things finished on time, and I started to buckle down last week. Then it hit me how ridiculous that is. All of you have been nothing but lovely and supportive in my work. If I need extra time, all I need to do is let you know! I'm fully aware of that but it still makes me quite uncomfortable!
Realistically, I only need about 1 more week to finish this collection the way I want to. Though I think releasing two distinct collections in the same month can be confusing and I don't want anyone thinking they missed a whole release. So what I am going to do is extend and expand this collection. There are going to be model pose variations and elaborate bases. The decorative base I drafted for the Mushroom Queen is really whimsical! It'll fit perfectly for a diorama scene, especially if you scaled it up.
The collection will now have 10 pieces in addition to 6 decorative bases. You can preview each of the monster's concept art here.
To give a preview of what the quality is looking like, here are two of the pieces I've worked on during livestreams. They are really turning out to be something special! These are around 65% finished.

As I mentioned I am not entirely comfortable taking more time for the collection, so I'm happy to release the Townsfolk collection just a few weeks early as a thank you! I know it isn't necessary, but I want to show how appreciative I am for your support and kindness ^_^ The picture of the dragon and other models at the top of this post are all part of the Townsfolk collection.
There are more than 50 pieces between models and terrain, you can check out the full gallery here. Everything is pre-supported and located in the NEW Supported Files folder too. The un-supported and different base versions are located in the Full Model Library > ZZ_Kickstarter Collections. Go to your rewards post to get the links :)
I know my Patreon is a bit different in that my backlog is always available so I know yall have plenty of goodies to print. I still like to share brand new creations though! I definitely don't intend to make collection extensions a regular thing haha Just know that I deeply appreciate it and something amazing is coming next month!
Much love,
Mia Kay
