The model theme vote was a landslide! We haven't had a vote with this big of a leader in months. Vote for as many models as you want! The most popular will be sculpted this month. You can pick the "everything" option but it may take me 2 months.
SHIELD MAIDEN
The shield here looks almost steampunk. You can expect more Norse art in my character design. That aside, love this artwork!
FEMALE BLACKSMITH
FEMALE SHAMAN
The proper name is völva but I know less people are familiar with that so I picked a more recognizable name. The image below is Valka from Assassins' Creed Valhalla. Love this character! I would not be recreating her, but it gives an excellent idea of what my character will look like.
MALE WARRIOR LEADER
Viking warriors are straight up called berserkers which is cool. I would model this character as a Hersir, which is a Viking military commander. Main difference is I'd make him a bit older and battle worn.
WARRIOR with BEAR MOUNT
For January's theme I let yall pick between saddled versions or an extra mount. Everyone wanted an extra mount. So this bear is definitely happening. Here you are voting whether or not you want a version with a warrior riding it or not. Depending on what models win this vote will depend who rides it. My default is the male berserker right now.
I got an awesome request to have an un-mounted pose where the bear was being pet instead so I may add that as a bonus.
MALE WARRIOR with WOLF SKIN
Several aspects of this art piece aren't really "Viking" but you get the idea. Vikings did use swords, but they weren't curved liked this. I would opt for two axes here instead anyway. Don't get me wrong, I'm not too fussed about accuracy. I want a model of a Viking riding a bear afterall lol However, I still want these models to look cohesive so you can expect some thoughtful design put into these.

DOG BONUS!
I have a routine where in the beginning of the month I sit by the fireplace and plan out my month. Main dates, deadlines, etc. My doggo came over and laid on it to "help me". So I took a few pictures with him ^_^

2021-03-06 22:16:03 +0000 UTCI'm with Benn M. I have a lot of viking figs and a good number of historically accurate ones, Female figures, especially good, quality ones, are rare as hens teeth. If you did naught but a line of Norse ladies with good armour and weapons, I'd be happy as can be.

2021-03-06 01:08:45 +0000 UTCTl;dr: This is awesome, more women please! It's a major pain looking for high-quality realistic female figurines for Norse or Norse-inspired gameplay or diorama creation. I am confident your sculpts will be top-tier and I'd be absolutely freaking thrilled to see more female roles come up in this theme. I have countless "Viking" STLs already, and they're all variations on the same theme; hyper-masculine warriors and comically proportioned women. I'm of a mind to request that you only sculpt males that you're physically passionate about, and just focus on female figures for this theme! The dearth of good female sculpts, in any genre of mini but especially Nordic/Norse, is intensely irritating for those in the hobby not as interested in epicly badass or bodacious figures. I like to see fantastical realism and dynamic character in my sculpts, which is what you excel at, so whatever you do I'm down.
