Kickstarter Announcement! Tell me what models you want :)
Added 2020-12-29 02:35:10 +0000 UTCHi Patrons!
For the first time ever I am making a Kickstarter completely dedicated to scatter terrain! What scatter terrain pieces do you want? Vote for as many as you like, and comment your own ideas! Every like on a comment counts as a vote.
Also note that ALL Kickstarter models are released to Patrons after 6 months! So even if you don't plan on backing the Kickstarter, make sure you vote :)
I wanted to know what to make for stretch goals, so I figured I'd ask my most reliable group for ideas! I'm excited to see what you want! I made a big list of things I thought would be cool so you can vote for as many as you like. Note that I am staying away from complete multi-floor buildings, but I'm good with "simple" buildings like a stable, windmill or tent.
Here is a glimpse of what my scatter terrain looks like.
These are all available to Patrons right now in the Terrain folder ^_^

This list is every piece of scatter terrain I've ever made which is almost 50 pieces. This will make up the core set. These models have either been released on Patreon, Thingiverse, or Kickstarter. 2020-12-30 16:32:59 +0000 UTCI already have a scenario at the “Head Sullivan Theater” with Gorgon Ramsay, Guy Fairiedragon, Rachel Wraith, Bobby Flind, Alhoon Brown, etc... I’ve been piecing things together but having it all at once would be better

2020-12-30 05:02:29 +0000 UTCNot "technically" but I still love the idea. A giant forest base would be excellent for dioramas too

2020-12-30 05:01:12 +0000 UTCI'm not what sure what happened to your comment, but I got an email for both! So I will copy and paste the first one if that's okay ^_^ Thank you for your excellent ideas! You always have something awesome to say and I appreciate you taking the time to share it! ORIGINAL COMMENT I think some difficult Terrain would be of great benefit to Tabletop players everywhere. The only way I know to represent difficult Terrain is via a template laid overtop the battle-map or simply remembering where the dif. Terrain starts and ends. This isn't so bad for wet erase battle maps; but, it becomes a bit more difficult when dealing with 3d battle-maps (such as the ones I make) Thus, having some difficult Terrain pieces, such as broken cobblestone, masses of vines, or loads of caltrops on some sort of tile (that can be placed on-top of an existing tile) would be very beneficial to people who create 3d Maps. If you need some imagery to go with the description feel free to DM me and I'll get some to you. Beyond that idea, I'd recommend: lumps of crystals

2020-12-30 05:00:43 +0000 UTCI actually plan to do an entire Kickstarter of mimics this year ;D Good idea!

2020-12-30 03:29:53 +0000 UTCI throw in a vote for 'shop stuff' and (I know it isn't terrain) a mimic mouth. Just a mouth you can glue to anything, thus making it a mimic. (Door, rug, bed, desk throne, etc)
2020-12-30 00:57:20 +0000 UTCSince my comment disappeared I guess I'll retype it (though slimmed down since I'm annoyed all of it didn't save). I think having some difficult Terrain would greatly benefit all TT players. The only way I know to represent difficult Terrain is to place a template over the existing battle-map or simply remember where it starts and ends. This is not to bad for those that use flat, wet-erase battle maps but can become difficult for those who create 3d battle maps like I do. It would be awesome to have some scatter pieces that can go over existing 3d tiles to represent difficult Terrain. This could include a pile of vines, cracked and broken stone, or even a load of caltrops on a dirt base. If you need an example of what I mean or want some imagery for reference shoot me a DM and I'll get some for you. Beyond that idea of 3d representable difficult Terrain I've some ideas of general scatter. - Piles/lumps of Crystal - Mounds of Dung or Refuse - Scatterings of equipment such as packs, bandages, torches, etc. - Singular boulders - Paintings - A Bridge (this could be difficult for a resin printer though) - Motes or fonts of magical energy (these could be useful for many environments) - The Dens of animals (these can be pretty small) I feel like there was more in my original post but Patreon decided to lose that so I'll leave it here.

2020-12-29 22:25:07 +0000 UTCVery cool... I'd love alters/standing torches/pools of liquid... stuff to make it evil :)

2020-12-29 16:41:35 +0000 UTCMarket stalls would be so useful
2020-12-29 14:37:40 +0000 UTCAll of these are excellent suggestions already; I personally run a pirate themed campaign so the more aquatic themed stuff, the better, in my eyes. This could be things like floating chests, floating bodies, sea creatures, waves of various sizes, small scale cliff faces, desert islands, flotsam/jetsam from destroyed ships etc etc.
2020-12-29 12:58:45 +0000 UTCI don't know if my idea fits in scatter terrain, but various bases in various sizes would be lovely. Like a large forest base, or a gargantuan ice base.
