Design Decision: Choose the Centaur's Weapon

I am so excited to make the centaur and I found a lot of really beautiful concept art! I have two style and weapon options for a total of 4 different possibilities!
STYLE OPTIONS
STYLE 1 - Tribal and whimsical
STYLE 2 - Sweet and princess like

2020-05-11 05:07:58 +0000 UTCI have a personal principle that when someone asks for an opinion, I give one if I have it. If people ask for your opinion and you never have one, they stop asking for or caring about your opinion. For the spear, the reason you don't hardly see double ended weapons is actual history is that it ruins the weapon for thrusting because suddenly there's a chance that the weapon is pushed back and you get stabbed in the belly. Besides, being outvoted doesn't make one wrong :)

2020-05-11 00:28:12 +0000 UTCI don't copy concept art. I reference it. So you don't need to be worried about small details like ear size. I'm glad you like the first style overall! I really like it too ^_^ Judging by the poll results, I don't think people are concerned about my "impractical fantasy style" spear. I don't see why a centaur wouldn't be able to handle a double bladed scimitar.

2020-05-10 17:54:11 +0000 UTCI really like style 1 for the centaur, but the ears in that reference image are way too much. As for weapons think of centaurs as using polearms or long spears to take advantage of their height and size. The "double ended" part of the spear actually hurts the weapon from this point of view, so I'd vote for a more traditional spear instead of the more "impractical fantasy style" spear you have shown.

Trust me, I am doing the max I can and if I could offer more options I would. If I could just offer all of the options then there wouldn't be a point for a design decision.
