Project TC & Patreon

Heya guys,

I've teased a few times before about project TC and finally am at a point I feel comfortable confirming its existence and what it is!

So, what is Project TC?

It is a multimedia project that will contextualise some of my existing characters and new ones too into a shared world! I've been pouring myself into preparing this announcement for the last few months and I hope you guys find it exciting!

Project TC is divided into 3 main parts:

The Game

The first and core part of Project TC is a game!  It is a Rogue-like Strategy RPG with Dating Sim elements being a core part of its progression outside of combat. Dating characters will result into new content and skills being unlocked that will affect your time within the combat section. You play as the amnesiac main character who must fight his way through Cafe Island to figure out more about himself while spending time with his companions to learn more about them and helping discover themselves.

 If you enjoy games like Disgaea, Fire emblem and Persona, I believe that this will be a game you will enjoy as much as I do! The game is still in a pre-alpha state with some of the most core parts of its combat system having been implemented but still need a lot of polish, and all the graphics in the game still being rushed placeholder art.  More info on the game will be shared later down along development's line! 

An important part to the game and the world is it's characters, as each character will have their stories  and motives to come along with you in the game, as well as potentially growing closer to you. So I will be introducing them as development proceeds further, but I do have one to show off now, the first character you can recruit:

Eden is a faun easy-going tomboy who specialises in long-range combat using her mana-powered bow.  She's got a massive sweet tooth and is quite reliable, albeit she seems to not like talking about her own past for reasons yet unknown. 

The Comics & Art

The second part of Project TC is the comics which will involve characters that are within the game in various NSFW scenarios, and I have already shown the first one "TC: Moving In" featuring our local grumpy marshian Mia.

The comics are a way for me to explore spicier scenarios than possible in the game, as I will be keeping the game a SFW project.  I plan to release a finished page bi-weekly but if patreon grows further to the point of supporting me working on this full-time rather than having to work on commissions, I will release them in a tighter schedule!  

Once TC: Moving In is nearing its' completion, there will be an introduction to a new perk for Ultra Cookie Patrons, which will be revealed then! 

NSFW art will continue being a key part of this patreon, so look forward to an increase of art featuring original characters and content rather than fanart! 

The World & Characters

The game, comics and art will all be featuring the same world, while not every single existing character will be able to make it into the game, the vast majority of the cast will be shared across these 3 mediums.  

While the NSFW comics & art are considered non-canonical alternate universe for the game, the characters will be sharing personalities, design and backstories, but will allow me to explore situations that would otherwise contradict happenings in the game. Think of it as a way to have some fun with them without having to worry about the implications!  Once the current TC comic is nearing completion, I will go into more detail as to why having it set up this way will benefit the comics and art in the long-run!

There are a lot of old characters that weren't made with Project TC in mind, those will be re-integrated in time with updated designs or might be fazed out.  I will be updating the Art Archive with the characters being fazed out into their own "Retired" folder, while also using this opportunity to better organise the "Original" section of the archive! I will also be updating the list of characters available for the monthly polls on discord by the time that I take in suggestions for the next poll!

So, where does patreon come into the mix?

While the game will not be released to patrons as part of their pledges, the NSFW Comics and Art will continue to be rewards for patreon, so while not much will change in the structure of how you receive perks, I think this project unifying all the characters you all know into a singular vision will help you all attach and relate to them more!  

So to be clear, here is what content will be released to patrons as part of patreon:

- NSFW Illustrations

- NSFW Comics (Must be pledged at time of release)

- Behind the scenes WIP art and concepts

While the content that will be not be included within the patreon:

- Project TC Game

- Older NSFW Comics (Patrons get a discount on purchasing them)

- Devlogs (as will be publicly available on patreon)
