2021-10-08 17:48:40 +0000 UTCAs far as I know, she had to give up her US citizenship in 2019 in order to keep her Japanese citizenship. Also, her family moved back to Japan when she was still just a toddler. Any English fluency she has now is if she studied it. I'm pretty sure she's talked about how she doesn't really know English very well, but felt pressured to study it because she's the one who was born in the US.

I don't know if that was the intent and that's why they decided to release it in English. Either way, I like it, I think it showcases some members' vocals really well and the choreo is good too!

Im not a Twice stan so I often forget that Mina was born in Texas USA. So I believe she has dual citizenship. It is interesting that Jihyo is the best English speaker in Twice even thoough Mina has US citizenship.

2021-10-05 06:28:09 +0000 UTCIt's the Hollywood prom vibe, for sure. Real life prom, at least for me, was just to go there long enough to take pictures, then leave to go to a party. But there's that whole prom queen and prom king thing. Prom court, etc... they really play up the royalty theme for proms. People even vote.
