@Ginni Carter I think you're looking at it one-sided. There are cultural differences so what seems harsh or blunt to others could be a normal way of communicating to someone else. You can see when Ni-Ki was with the Grounders, they were tired and wanted practice to end but Ni-Ki was stern and upfront about the need to practice and even stepped out because he was frustrated that they weren't listening to him. Ni-Ki cried after K spoke with him but K also cried when he was confronted by the group... They are all under a lot of pressure. As a fan, I felt closer to K because he's very expressive and honest with his feelings. And yes, the others were intimidated by K but after they talked to K, he realized and accepted that he went about things in the wrong way. People that are able to learn from each other and grow together is a part of what makes a good group.

I’m old enough to have worked with some angry people who couldn’t control their tempers or their faces. It sucks. That’s why I didn’t like K. I thought he was making people around him miserable by the end.

Don’t hate me, but I was glad K didn’t make it. It had absolutely nothing to do with his performances because everyone is right that he is talented and charismatic onstage. I reacted to the way he spoke to Niki a couple of episodes back and to the way Heeseung and the other younger members felt so intimidated by him. It made me think that the problem with Niki caused more than just a passing argument. I don’t speak Japanese (or Korean... yet *sigh*) so I rely a lot on the body language and facial expressions of the other people to see how the words are coming across to them because you just can’t get the nuance from a translation. Looking at Jay’s face when K was talking to Niki made me feel like what he said was really harsh and that was confirmed when later everyone was tiptoeing around him afraid he would suddenly yell at them too. I watch a lot of BTS’s extra content like Run BTS and In the Soop because I love to see how they interact as a team and friends. I would like to continue seeing the behind the scenes part of Enhypen (seriously, what were they thinking???) and I don’t think I would like that part if K were to be angry and yelling at team members over things. I just didn’t like the idea of him in the team dynamic after that even if it seemed like they were able to reestablish harmony with him afterwards.

I agree. The voting system was wacky. The problem is we could only vote for ONE person. So, based on the rankings, people voted for who they were afraid would get kicked out, perhaps thinking the top favorites were not at risk. I think this plays out with the final online results: all the usual high ranking members were at the bottom, and the not-so-certain ones were at the top. If we would have voted for the SEVEN we wanted to debut, every time, instead of just one, I think the votes would not have played out with Jake, Daniel and Jungwon as the final three... but alas... the producers were in a horrible spot with both K and Sunoo in the final three. I understand why the producers picked Sunoo, but its horrible for K. It seemed clear to me that the finalists were not joyful because everyone was just thinking about K... I hope one of the BTS members ran back stage and encouraged him...

They better. Or, they are stupid. He's crazy talented. But even if they do, he'll always feel like the ENHYPHEN boys were "his people" - they spent 3 months together... what a disappointment.

I agree 100% that K should be in the debut group. He is the most ready of all the trainees. However, considering the situation the producers were in, I think they made the right choice with sunoo. He was the missing piece from the group as it was. People like Niki and Jay have time to develop into the skill level of K, but nobody in the group had potential to fill sunoo role except maybe Jake. It’s super sad, but I see what the producers were doing. Love K he is a talent and he deserves. Let’s all hope the best for him.

Hey guys, feel so disappointed someone of K's caliber didn't get to debut :(. He was one of the strongest contestants through out the show. Something about the final 7 doesn't feel quite right - 1 or 2 I would personally swap out, but curious to see how they do in the future - sure they will do well. Wish the producers were strong enough to push through and pick K because he is so talented! It's important to think long term K would have brought so much flavour to the the group.

Honestly I voted for Jungwon this week. He has become a favorite of mine. I feel like his voice stands out as unique, he is a good dancer, and personality. I was truly shocked that K didn’t get in. He was a favorite of mine too. I didn’t know any of the drama surrounding him. It’s a shame. I hope the best for him.

Considering how big of a difference there was between the first and second place I think its safe to say Jungwon is definitely one of the most famous trainees. I think he got low voting last time cause people were taking him for granted since the PDs were praising him so much. At the same time, I also think the "almost elimination" came at the right time for him cause it made his fans extra worried. People were so sure Sunoo would be high up the rank that they didnt try hard to campaign for him. Overall, I think the end result really reflects how people were feeling. A trip to stan twitter is enough to see how many stans Jungwon had and that the final line-up is very similar to most people's.

Theory for last official I-land after show... if people had been allowed to vote for 2 or 3 trainees each the results would have been drastically different. I think everyone used their one vote for their favorite who they felt was in danger which is why the top trainees who everyone assumed were safe got the least votes. Jungwon went from almost elimination to #1. Sunoo went from shoo-in to producers pick. If I had an extra vote it definitely would have been for K, but I felt he was so safely in the top I voted for Jay who has been in the bottom of global votes before. K never did great in the global votes but he also never ranked super low.

I appreciate the discussion around Woojin. As a woman who has been sexually assaulted, I am biased. Neutral gear is important especially in cases like this with anonymity and lack of details/specifics. I guess I feel inclined to believe potential victims and accusers because in my case, if the perpetrator hadn’t admitted to the allegations there would have been zero case for me. I had no proof or witnesses. In fact, if the perpetrator had lied, I could have easily been fired. You both discussed this topic seriously and saw the situation from many perspectives and spoke with empathy and logic for all parties.

(NO HATE) Tbh I think K was robbed of his debut! He was praised after almost every test and was ranked very high by the producers almost all the time. He was portrayed as a leader throughout this show and despite all that they didn't let him debut. I understand that Sunoo is very talented and is popular in Korea but wasn't this suppose to be a GLOBAL idol group. They only have 1 member who isn't Korean, and the oldest member is 20 years old. They fed the KNETZ with putting Sunoo in the group which doesn't make any sense considering the ratings weren't even that good to begin with there. BTS weren't loved by Korea in the beginning so I don't understand why they couldn't put K in the group. Oh and to top it all off if the final 7 was ALL picked global votes K would have debut!!!

I’ll tell you what happened. I think because jungwon was ranked 9th by the producers everyone panicked and thought they should vote for jungwon because sunoo and heeseung will probably be fine. That’s just what i think.

I don’t see Big Hit pursuing K. More likely he will sign with a Japanese company as a soloist. I have doubts that he is charismatic/likeable enough (to Koreans) to be a Kpop soloist.

I think the producers will sign K to lead a group of tall trainees that have been at BIG HIT, training already for several years. They need a mature leader to plug into a group that they already have ready for debut. The producers will have K sign on the dotted line,before they let him return to his home.
