Damn! I keep missing the live after show! Smdh

Digby Jones

Good job tonight guys as usual and also as usual, the same tech gremlins appeared. You ought to keep a list of what you do to correct it and then implement those corrections. Nevermind, lets go back to the BTS chicken restaurant for lunch. LOL

Steven Pambello

I remember, back in the day, 2 young men begged to be arrested by the local police rather than be turned over to the MP's . Their CO's took an extremely dim view of their men being reported by local authorities. Korean authorities should have immediately contacted the base commander.

Steven Pambello

I haven’t either! It’s so interesting/sad to watch the lack of care for human life from people who live in the same community. My county made national news for some of the comments made at the meeting to decide if masks are to be mandatory. Unfortunately.. there are people who have an agenda out there that says the govt is using this to control communities and see how much of our freedoms that they can take away, so they care more about their so called freedoms than they do about the lives of the people around them and ultimately their own. Making a humanitarian crisis out to be a political issue instead.

Kaye Leana

And did you David and Danny choose to be diametrically opposed athletic companies? #headbands Despite David’s comment earlier today, I like what you have done with your hair, Danny.

BTW, NCO stands for non-commissioned officer. It's the lower-ranking leadership positions.

Collett Litchard

Regarding the bullying situation, I agree with Danny when he said that the culture isn’t really there for the other people to stand up to the bully when they all live together and spend every minute together but I also agree with David that the company needs to take better care of the artists mental health. There have been too many fatalities and goodbyes that never had to happen if these artists were treated with more dignity. It’s a shame really and the companies should see by now that they should take the initiative instead of needing to draft apologies and responses after a tragedy. It would be better if the artists were alive.

Honestly, I have not left my house unless to go to work. Those with privilege here walk about without masks and do not abide by social distancing. No surprise … our daily numbers of positive cases is way up. I am in my 50s and this virus scares me! I had a panic attack at work when they wanted me to be public facing.

As an American and a wife of a former US soldier, I am ashamed for the actions of the US soldiers' blatant disrespect for and against the Korean citizens and police. They are trained to be the opposite of what their actions showed. Part on the NCO creed says "I... will at all times conduct myself so as to bring credit upon the Corps, the military service and my country regardless of the situation in which I find myself." Those soldiers were not living the values they pledged to uphold as a represetative of the US. It's more than disappointing, it's disgusting and I wish their higher-ups knew and would discipline them. And if their commanding officers knew and did nothing...shame on them. They should be demoted and replaced.

Collett Litchard

My husband just retired after 33 years in the US Air Force. We were never stationed in Korea. But I can tell you, that if any those military members are Air Force, and their unit commanders over there see the videos, they WILL get consequences in-house. Leave taken away, sometimes pay docked. If it’s really bad, they may be sent back stateside. But there should still be better communication and working with Korean authorities when US military members are in Korean jurisdictions. This doesn’t help US/Korean relations AT ALL.

Sarah Padbury

On the other hand, the video footage you showed at DK News, foreigners mocking police officers and don't care about the public health is far more serious than fireworks (not the ones directly aimed at people, that was ridiculous too). As a foreigner in the US, I am constantly checking my behavior to not to do anything wrong both culturally and in terms of law. I respect my community here, even thought I came from another country. I would expect foreigners in the Korea to do the same.

Evelyn M

Welcome to America! All the best on your PhD journey.

Kaye Leana

Regarding Kpop training and living conditions, I do think there needs to be a massive overhaul of the “system.” I understand having people live together creates bonds and shares experiences, but it doesn’t have to be for so long. How about ONE year.... if they could could get breaks from each other it would be healthy. But the biggest reason they keep them all together is not for “team” building —- but to save money. It’s the cheapest way to support all their expenses and get them to and fro quickly. The price is high on mental health as a consequence.

Sarah Padbury

I didn’t either and it sucks about the power outage. At the same time... we really do have a lot to be grateful for despite the awful things happening. We can be a part of the solution by treating others with respect and valuing all human lives. 💛

It's my first year in America, as a foreign Ph. D student and they are celebrating 4th of July for a week now. Almost everyday, I hear fireworks at my neighborhood from 6 pm until 3 am. At this point, it started to become annoying. I understand their joy and right to celebrate, but there might be elderly and/or kids who might be disturbed by the constant noise.

Evelyn M

This 4th, our power went out for 5 hours. Why? Someone's fireworks hit a power line. Honestly, I just did not want to celebrate the 4th this year.

mothermade

Obnoxious. This makes me reluctant to every proclaim myself 미국. Then again, it wasn’t my choice …

As an American who traveled to South Korea last year and knows American soldiers and Korean citizens in Korea... I can only say that my opinion is that these people need some grace. I understand that it’s tough being away from home and when your home is hurting as America is right now it must be even tougher for these soldiers abroad. On the other hand, they are a reflection of Americans for people who may never visit or meet another American in their lifetime and it really is giving other people permission to view Americans through the lens of people who do whatever they want and act as though they own the world. Honestly though, there are Americans who light fireworks for hours here on July 4th so it’s not really news but if we expect people to respect our country when they are here, we should lead by example. Just my opinion.

Kaye Leana

Danny, did you try my fruit fly remedy?

mothermade

I won't be able to join but I'm heartbroken over the AOA issue. I really hope the young lady gets help.

Joy

I'm curious about the American Duck's opinions on the American troops behaviour in S.Korea..
