Making a LIFE SIZE Barbie Dress : Fancy Free Barbie!
Added 2021-01-21 21:10:53 +0000 UTCAs promised, the Barbie series is back for 2021! And I started with one of my personal favorites: Fancy Free Barbie.
This design came out in the 1960s and has such a delightful silhouette, interesting collar, and vibrant color scheme. It makes me smile. And I can certainly use more things that make me smile in my life!
I made this dress over the course of two afternoons and had a lot of fun in the process. I really enjoy the finished dress too.
In my rush to render this video I neglected to airbrush the final photos...so here are two pictures without the bruises from slipping on ice while carrying a 26lb dog.
And here are two less flattering photos with the aforementioned 26lb dog who really wanted to play fetch.
