So - this video was supposed to go up on the 18th, for early access. But there were a few hiccups in getting it approved, so that didn't happen.
However, I'm really excited to be sharing it with all of you! This video goes through the process of finishing the underskirt for the Worth peacock gown, and making a velvet train covered in peacock feathers.
This is definitely the most time consuming project I've taken on in a long time. And I don't want to say it's been challenging - but it's definitely pushed me to work with materials I'm less familiar with, and techniques that are totally foreign to me.
But weirdly, I've really enjoyed it. Nothing has gone horribly wrong yet, so it's been fun and satisfying to see it come together and my skillset expand. Tho I'm not sure when my newfound cherub painting and feather gluing skills will come in handy!
I hope you enjoy seeing this project continue to take shape! I actually started drafting the bodice and headpiece today, so hopefully the remaining videos about this project will be coming up soon.
Here are some photos of the underskirt and train.

That is it from me, for today! But I shall have another update soon :)
