Newsletter #1 June <3

Howdy y'all! Okay so this is the first of many newsletters that I'll be doing, since moving forward I want to have a way that I can stay connected with you guys as the landscape of social media changes every day it seems like. I hope this isn't too long, I'm going full blogger style with this! If that's not your style, I'll always have a spark notes/tldr; bullet point of all the things I talked about at the end for my low attention/focus friends (aka me but also i love reading blogs LOL).

So first off hi.. it's been ROUGH. I sorta talked about this but basically instagram fucking sucks now. As someone who relies on Social Media to find potential commissioners, freelance work and shoppers, it's really frustrating. My posts aren't being pushed out to new people or to people already following me and it's happening to a lot of people I follow, artists, the nail techs, tattoo artists, basically everyone I follow that makes stuff. I've contemplated paying for """business""" or whatever just to see if it actually would help but I have a lot of pride so I really don't want to... especially cuz I know that's what they want. But because this is my livelihood and how I pay the bills, I need to consider it. I already have a part time job that is just helping me get by and I don't think I can keep making art AND work a full time position so i'm feeling very stuck. I downloaded Cara but the app... I don't like it. I did wanna secure my handle so I see myself forgetting about the app in like, a week LOL

Oh the flip side, Twitter has been doing well for me which is surprising.

ANYWAYS NO MORE DEPRESSING SHIT! YOU KNOW WHAT'S COOL? I went to Miami to visit my best friend 🥹 and we had so much fun!!!!! I'm currently saving up to move so we can be roommates again but that won't be for a while... I'll drop some fun pics I took! I've always really loved Florida, I used to visit Florida a lot when I was a kid cuz I had a great grandmother who lived there, so I'm pretty accustomed to the state and the weather, the V I B E S... which is WHYYYY...

✨Flirts in Hawaiian Shirts✨  is coming back this Summer! (o: Because I finished my graphic novel with my publisher!! 🥳 Now I have more time to commit to personal projects and I'm so happy because I really missed working on this comic... I haven't been able to work on my webcomics aside from all the random Bubbline stuff. My soft re-release date is appropriately the first days of Summer, June 20th/21st! Moving forward, the $3 tier will begin to get early page updates. I'm hoping to keep my patrons 3-4 pages ahead of the pages available to the public. I'll be posting character/prop/background/concept designs, page WIPS and process stuff for my $8 patrons! My friend is helping me re-design some of the characters since my style has obviously changed, but a lot of things will be staying the same! Everyone will still have funky colourful skin, the plot hasn't changed, thankfully I wrote out the entire story back in like 2017? But yEAH! I'm super excited to be working on this again (o: more updates really soon! Like this week soon cuz i'm in the thumbnailing and pencils stage right now for 3 new pages ;o)

I'm also planning on releasing some NSFW comics that will go hand in hand with FiHS since Lucy goes on some escapades and some of the other side characters also do but those comics will be available on my NSFW patreon only! I'm also thinking of doing some fun pin ups and stuff there but I haven't fully decided and it probably won't be for a while!

The drink girl illustrations that I've been working on are soon to be prints and stickers! I'm planning on doing either a sticker sheet again, or doing preorder sticker exclusives! Just like the pyrex girls. I really love designing prints/stickers low key always wanted to do a print/sticker club but I just don't think I would have enough interest... I don't know, if you'd be interested in a like, $15-$25 sticker and print club lemme know!

The Bubbline "Don't Sing Without Me" is still on hiatus... I said this on my NSFW patreon but I've just lost a lot of interest in drawing Bubbline lately, so I'm kinda putting that on the backburner though I'm really tempted to just start it up again so I can finish that story plot out since I want there to be a better conclusion than them breaking up LOL I might watch Obsidian and some of the Bubbline centric episodes from AT just to get myself in the headspace for drawing them out so I can't say for sure if I'm done with it but yeah ionno... Send me bubbline vibes so I can finish it and finish the NSFW comic that goes with it 😭 On the upside I finished knitting my Bubbline sweater!!!! Didn't take me over a year or anything 🥴

Last things are just life stuff... I learned how to spin on a spinning wheel which has been really fun and therapeutic since everything in my life is stressing me out right now. I've been messing around with making my clown yarn, and finally spun up something that feels very clowny (o: I can't wait to knit something with it (o:

I got a new tattoo! I'm going in for another tattoo (I had this scheduled a while back and already put down a desposit ahhh) but because I'm saving up money right now for moving, I'm trying to space out these appointments however, because I'm moving out of state in a few months, probably a year if I'm being honest, I wanna to get these tattoos before I won't have access to this artist. It's the squiggly wiggly alien, bacteria looking tattoo!
