Elphaba ππ¦ Wicked exhibition [Process + Preview]

I will be part of a Wicked exhibition at Gallery Nucleus in February - I was asked to sketch a few ideas, and Universal picked my Elphaba drawing so I painted it this week. The only thing Universal asked was to make the characters look like the actresses. That's why this painting looks a bit more realistic than what I usually do !
Here's the sketch on watercolor paper :
As usual - black outlines to see the important lines under the first layer of gouache :
First session : background !
On that same day I managed to paint the background + Elphaba
I also started another painting later that day ! I wanted to paint something for the year of the horse and was inspired by medieval tapestry :
Next day : lion cub + rainbow + poppies :
Final painting !
This painting will be available for sale on Gallery Nucleus' website the day after the opening !
