Thank you for all your kind support on the recent video. Up next we're looking at 1912-1914, i.e. the final year or so before the July Crisis.
This is going to be a bit of a tricky chapter to do, as rather like a mediocre television writer I have left it until the end to wrap up all of the previous subplots whilst also attempting to introduce new ones.
As it stands the script covers everything from internal politics (The Irish Crisis in Britain in particular), the Anglo-German Detente (which includes things like the Berlin-Baghdad railway, planned partition of the Portuguese Colonial Empire etc.), the increasingly rocky Anglo-Russian Agreement, Austria's collapsing position in the Balkans and increasingly dubious plans to rescue it, the likelihood of a Greco-Turkish War in 1914 and quite a bit more.
So, a lot. However, I'm hoping to keep the pace quite light, rather than stopping to dwell on any point for too long.
That's the plan anyway. This will certainly not take 6 months, but I won't make any more predictions other than to say I hope it'll be out soon.
