Patreon Exclusive: Designing a class
Added 2022-05-29 17:15:08 +0000 UTCNow that I'm getting myself more settled back into the swing of things with my new job, I think it's time to really get my Patreons something unique outside of just supporting my work. I think it's time to really let the Patrons have a significant say in the direction of some of the content I create. To that end, I'm going to work on designing an entire Class for ED&D while taking advice on the broader details from my patrons. This will be a series of polls that will come up each time I get to a major decision point on the design of the class, and I'll take the input from my Patrons and use it to shape the final product.
The first question is a fundamental one- should this be a base class that anyone can take from level 1 like the Fleshbound or the Dark Knight, or should it be a prestige class like the Glutton Incarnate, something that is designed to trade the broad utility of base classes for unique specialization. This decision will drastically shape all the decisions that come after it.
