It has been two weeks since the original release date for update 0.10
I'm sure you all would love to know what is happening with the update, so here we go.
Right now I'm not going to give a date yet. Not necessarily because the release is far away, but because at this point the update has become such a mess that I'm expecting things to explode when testing starts. I'll probably announce the release date a few days before the update actually comes out.
The initial problems with 0.10 and why there was a delay is because a bunch of content that was going in there was just not going to work out like I wanted. Instead of bumping my head into the same wall constantly and burning myself out, I decided to take a bit of a detour and add different content instead of the original content which was planned.
Here is the new list of content that is going to be in 0.10(this list is pretty much final):

Testing should wrap up this weekend or slightly after, and the release will follow shortly. So my guess is release on 10/12 but take that with a grain of salt I can't confirm anything officially. Edit: Guess I was right! Yay

Is immobilism considered at some point ? Not for all of them, but maybe for a fatty one and a titty one, that could be great. Always hated how Hypnosis stopped right at the edge of this, when it really is the culmination of their growth

2024-09-19 01:37:44 +0000 UTCSince this update doesn't come with any stages, I wouldn't mind waiting longer for a proper update, that'll include stages. Like they say, some things are worth the wait. Unlike others, I'm very patient and understanding. I would rather wait for a big update that is polished, more refined, done right, than small incremental ones. With that being said, I don't feel like my money is going to waste, take as much time as needed and I appreciate all the hard work (all parties involved) for their time and efforts.

I appreciate the transparency and am happy to continue waiting. My only issue is in the lack of a firm release date or at least an estimated release window. But, again, I understand why. Like you said, much of the remaining difficulty lies in testing and fixing any potential errors, which makes it hard to estimate when exactly these issues will be ironed out. It's nice to see an update from you Blade, and I look forward to the eventual release. Just don't burn yourself out too hard trying to get it to us!

2024-09-15 10:45:19 +0000 UTCHey, I understand you feel frustrated about this situation we are in right now. I feel frustrated too, I wanted things to go more smoothly and quickly, but here we are. I have said it before, but if you just want the updates for the games, I highly recommend to either only subscribe when the updates have released or wait until I make those updates publicly available. Supporting me through my journey in making these weight gain games is highly appreciated and it allows me to work on this full-time, but I can't offer frequent enough updates to make everyone feel it is worth their money to keep subscribed. In terms of development and expanding the team I would like to give you a little bit of insight of the issues that I face. First off, in terms of writing I got my bases covered now, I got a few skilled writers that feed me most of the dialogue to implement into the game and create visuals for. I got a great moderator to take off some of the community management work I would have needed to do myself. But, the thing that is bottle necking the project is by far my own ability to create the visuals. Now, I'm not apposed to getting another artist working on the project, and I have tried to get someone else on board. The issue is that within a niche space like weight gain there aren't that many 3D artist, then if you take into consideration the program I use, it narrows down the pool even more. And then if I do find that person, it is highly likely they are busy with their own projects to join me. Look, I understand where you are coming from. If you feel wronged, you can send me a DM on Patreon and I'll get your subscribtion refunded.

Besides, a large dev team doesn't always mean a good end product, I've paid £60 for AAA games that were terrible / dead on arrival. Just look at the latest releases from Ubisoft and Sony. Blade also clearly said several weeks ago that he would be giving the game to people subbed for the previous month and you can get the game for free a month after release if it is about saving money.

2024-09-15 07:45:25 +0000 UTCSorry, I know you didn't mean any harm. Nevertheless, I have to intervene briefly here. 1. You're looking at the subscription the wrong way. The subscription is not a guarantee that you will get something in return, but a way to support the creator. If you don't want to pay, you can always wait another 1-2 months until the update comes out for free. 2. Blade has already mentioned that he can now work full-time on the game because he can make a living from it. 3. You can't believe that there are so many difficulties in launching the game. But have you ever worked with the programs Blade is working with? I have! And I can say that until the model does what it wants and you can create the scene you want, it takes a hell of a long time, even with experience. Especially with the higher stages, it gets more and more complicated to make something that still looks halfway realistic. And these are just the problems with the program for the models. I haven't even mentioned Renpy and the other programs. 4. Finally, I can understand that you are impatient. I am too, but that's no reason to say something like that, even if it might be advisable for Blade to look for 1-2 additional developing supporters. So stay nice to everyone in the community!

We are always happy when you communicate transparently so that we can understand your hard work. I'm looking forward to the next update as I still think you've created the best game in this category. Keep up the good work, we are all excited, and above all take your time, be it for your own health or for the game to hit like a bomb. I have one small question: it seems there will be a lot of new content for the existing stages, but no new stages, is that right?

Considering that I've been signed up since last August, with a basic calculation it will turn out that I donated a whopping 60 euros, now added to other potential 10 people like me, our friend has made a whopping 600 euros/dollars (and we all know that there aren't only 10 subscribers) and I have to believe that there are so many difficulties in releasing a game like this? with the money earned you could think of expanding the development team. All this is said in absolute calm and tranquility. However, I only ask for a little more seriousness and professionalism, since each of us is giving you their money. Thanks for the work Bladerune and keep it up I love your work!!
