Caroline gothification, Yes or No?

Should Caroline her reworked look include gothification.
Gothification meaning that she will not only gradually grow fatter but also slowly change her look to be more goth.

Seconded!

deviantyamboy

The fun thing about this is there is enough meat on the goth bone to create a whole harem game full of different tropes and stereotypes. I thought you could have some fun exploring the intersection of goth and FA. I am curious to see what aspects of her goth awakening are encouraging her to eat more and gain weight. Oh! Also, Goth IHOP is a whole thing.

Deepdowner

Someone else pointed this out to me too. I honestly didn't know there were so many goth types. I'm pretty much copying the goth look I most often see during Metalcore concerts, which probably aligns the most with metal goth.

DaveH

All for it! With the added hope of her getting bigger

SirBunnyMan

For what it is worth, I personally like the 4th look a lot

GGies

Doesn't really bother me either way, but I figure there is enough variation in the characters so far that if this appeals to even a minority of players (and to you as the artist) it should be worthwhile including - So I voted yes

thesloth

I like the gothification concept but tbh the more "punk" style of the 3rd version is a lot more attractive to me. Would also suit her well if she ends up being pretty tall compared to others, in a "dommy mommy" sort of way

Zeldacrafter64

To expand upon something that I put in a reply, I really like the Goth concept, the thing that bothers me about the test images is that each of them is a different goth theme or motif. That is fine for this test of the concept, but if she is going to gothify, it would help improve the depth and design of the character if you used the goth culture that underlies the motif to tie the transformation arc together. A few examples: Metal goth: discovered death metal; lots of chains, spikes, and skulls, Nordic iconography Wiccan goth: feminine magic and the occult; floral and natural themes; vegetarian fatty Pin head goth: latent mas; discovers Hell raiser; lots of leather, piercings, bondage Victorian goth: discovered vampire of the masquerade or Ann Rice; lots of lace, bows, and corsets; fatty in restrictive clothes is fun Rave goth; this is basically Lyn’s aesthetic

Deepdowner

This may be too much but there are definitely different flavors of goth, with different motifs underneath the main aesthetic. It it could be fun to talk with the her about it, over snacks of course, and help you as the artist too :D

Deepdowner

Gothification is a bit too transformation fetishy for me, I'd rather just stay one way or the other

Abe

I can see that, maybe that's why I'm not digging that look. My money is still on the 3rd pic for me that has the perfect alt/goth look while still keeping the look of her previous self, it feels like a natural transition

Outlawz170

It’s the hair for me personally I just don’t like the particular style. If she had something different going on I’d probably be fine with the fourth image

Krodmandoon

Skin lightening makeup piercings leather the whole works,

Malte

Of course, if I had to say any on thing in particular, it would be probably be that she looks way older in that 4th stage. It could be the hair that does it, or a combination of things. The word "too much" comes to mind when I see that one. Almost as if a different character completely. It just doesn't flow together like the previous two stages to me

Outlawz170

The 3rd image feels like the perfect balance of who she was and what she's becoming. The fourth just feels like she went into the deep end of goth in comparison. It's just my opinion though.

Samuraihunter

The gain and look is just a "sketch", this will be changed in the final version of her look. But in what way do you like to see her be more goth?

DaveH

<3

Anthill33

What part of the 4th image is too much in your opinion? Her look is still work-in-progress so every bit of feedback is welcome.

DaveH

I could do that.

DaveH

While I think it is an amazing concept, I am afraid that slutification is too much of a kink to add to the game as a non-optional thing. Gothification is also a preference thing, but it is much easier to overlook if it is not your thing, if that makes any sense.

DaveH

That is good to know. Could you explain what you do not enjoy about the 4th stage depicted in this example? All feedback on the looks here is taken in consideration because her look isn't set in stone yet, this is just an iteration.

DaveH

Bladerune don't miss

mrmister

the angle of her discovering a new aesthetic and gradually embracing it seems like a really fun parallel for simultaneously discovering she likes gaining weight

Shayd

I like the transformation but would like to minimize the tattoos to mainly arms, legs and back. Other than that she looks cool!

Todd W

Id personally like it if she got more goth then stage 4, maybe spreading out the stages more by making her gain more in between?

Malte

Well i wouldn’t call her gothic tbh as she doesn’t fit the pointers, more like spychobilly or so but anyway i vote for a yes! Especially if she gets piercings along her jpurney :-)

Eddie

I'm fine with either goth or not. That said, I agree with a few of the others that picture 3 looks best imo. Like the hair and outfit a lot more.

Varlin

With all due respect I think she's perfect up to the 3rd image. The 4th is just a bit too much in my opinion.

Samuraihunter

As long as we get to see someone fat in a button up dress like that first one

Anthill33

I think the 3rd pic is perfect.

GTMK24

It's not my thing, personally, but I'm sure plenty of people will enjoy it.

Sammis

And when you thought it couldn't hit any more of the right buttons...

How about a slutification for one/some of the girls? I’d imagine abandoning societal standards regarding weight and culinary indulgences would occasionally lead to a more “welcoming” attitude regarding sexual partners…

Chief Masterson

Respectfully I don't mind the gothification at all. I actually look forward to her story when it happens, however I just don't enjoy the look of the 4th stage depicted here. That 3rd stage in my opinion looks great. Perfect balance of someone who slowly turned into the culture from the outside. Also more in line with newer goth styles that you see nowadays, as always though great work Blade look forward to it either way!

Outlawz170

definitely yes... I could even imagine some bisexual or lesbian "relationship" between her and Cayenne
