As the two decend down into the depth of the planet, Quill is almost bursting with excitement for his grumpy pal. He and the others, had been planning this moment for a long time ever since they found out about Rockets past, from fragments found at the destroyed labs of the High Evolutionary. Something they all decided not to bring up with him.

Rocket, exhuasted and grumpy, was not amused at all the secrecy, nor was he up for any dumn embarrassing singing that Quill just loved to do on his birthdays out.

The elevator rumbled and squeaked as it decended further down.
