This I think is my favorite episode because: 1, I love Halloween and 2, as an Asian who did not grow up with Pumpkins, I LOVE the idea of watermelons as... Jack'o'Melons? And the monster is soooo Studio Ghibli-inspired (specifically No-Face from Spirited Away).

2025-01-24 21:59:26 +0000 UTCOh crap I forgot to say that this is the episode where Alex Hirsch was just over Disney's Standards and Practices division as they kept objecting over the phrase "bottles will be spun!" on the flyer for the party. This culminated in Alex Hirsch changing it to "Not S&P Approved" which you can still see on the flyer.
