The large city is far below Rhaenys and me as we circle above the darkened city. A heavy cloud cover keeps us hidden, and the moon is waning. Giving almost no light to those below. If they knew I was up here, we'd have seen movement already.
It's time for the final act in my war against the Lannisters and what they've done to my family. Coming this far is almost hard to believe now that I've made it.
I'd be lying if I said I never doubted I'd get this far. Life is full of surprises. I'm a father of five and a King. Back in Asshai, all I cared about was surviving. Becoming strong enough to protect myself.
A lot has changed since then and for the better. And there is some for the worst. But, after I secure the throne for my family once again and retain the power of dragons for future generations, my work will be done.
I won't count my victory yet. There is a battle still to be played out. To still be fought. There will be losses. For me and for my most trusted and powerful followers.
"Gruuu..."
A soft and loving growl leaves the mouth of Rhaenys as we soar through the sky. She senses what I'm feeling and knows it's now time to do what needs to be done. I close my eyes and take a breath.
History will remember me for what I'm going to do today. For what I'm taking from people. I've never believed in destiny, but in the moment of solace, I admit there has been something in store for me ever since my life in Asshai.
"Ao gīmigon skoros īlon līs gaomagon sir, Rhaenys. Ivestragī's tatagon bisa."
I tell her that she knows what we must do now, and it's time that we finish this. Sensing my will, she begins her dive. I feel the heat build-up below the saddle inside her. Preparing a blast of fire.
The first of our targets is the wall my forces are lined against. Rhaenys levels out at the last second, and my world is warmed by the black flames Rhaenys releases.
GHHHRAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
Her screaming roar echoes throughout the land as the black fire burns and destroys everything in its path.
Destroying all the balistas on the wall and forcing it to crumble to the ground. Allowing my troops the entrance they need. Eliminating the need for a siege. Rhaenys and I have more walls to burn, but Oberyn should be moving now.

All of us watch as Rhaenys dives from the clouds above. The unsuspecting and unprepared Lannister troops on the Northern wall are instantly decimated by the Dragonfire of Rhaenys. The black flames the great monster unleashes send chills up my spine.
Raenon pulls back up high into the sky, and the balistas try to get shots off, but they're either too slow or can't aim into the sky. Their range of motion is limited.
His plan is working perfectly, and now it's my turn to play my part in this assault.
"CHAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGEEEEEEE!!!!"
"RAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!"
"EURAAAAAAAGGGGHHHH!!!!"
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!"
Roars and screams echo from our forces and the Unsullied march forward in formation. The horsemen rush forward, looking to break the initial forming line. Our assault on the capital of Westeros has begun.
As soldiers and war machines move passed me, my eyes turn to look at the ginormous form of Rhaenys in the sky. A small smile creeps on my lips. However, that's short-lived.
Screams of horror and pain grab my attention from ahead, and that's when I see green flames exploding from the ground. Obliterating the initial horsemen. Spreading wildly ahead and blocking off avenues of attack.
Tywin fucking Lannister.
"IT'S WILDFYRE!!! STAY BAAACK!!"
My yelling order to the approaching Unsullied forces is echoed by commanders and officers. We'll have a much harder time getting into the city and meeting Tywin's forces.
Beyond the smoldering remains of the wall in front of me, I see the outlines of catapults. All of them are being loaded. We knew that we'd lose men in this final battle, but I had no idea that it'd be like this.
We have no choice, we have to push forward.
"PUSH ONWARD!! WE HAVE TO STOP THEM FROM FIRING MORE WILDFYRE AT US!!"
My order is heard as the troops do their best to push past the green flames. We'll take heavy casualties because of this, but we have the advantage still.

RHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGG!!!!
My body shakes and my head rings as I watch as the third wall around Kings Landing burns from the black flames of Rhaenys. Joffrey stands next to me, watching in fascination as the fires begin to spread from the collapsing walls into the cities.
All I can do is lower my head and close my eyes. I've been beaten. From a plan so simple and straightforward, I hadn't anticipated it.
He...
He came from the sky...
An angle the balistas couldn't get to...
I have lost my final battle, and the fate of my house now rests with...
Jaime...
And Tyrion...
That little monster has actually outlived me...
How cruel fate can be.

RRRRRHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
Black fire launches from Rhaenys mouth on top of the final wall threatening her life with balistas. I look over the city as we ascend to a level around the height of the Red Keep. Green flames burn charred corpses outside the wall.
My soldiers are storming through the city. Killing any Lannister soldier they find. I've lost a lot of good men, but their sacrifice won't be forgotten.
There is only one thing left to do now. I don't know what's being planned by Tywin. His use of Wildfyre is a rather ingenious application. There is an old tactic I read about back in Essos. Well, more like a principle.
Most rulers would rather see their Kingdom burn than it be taken by another.
KKKKKAAAAAAAAAABBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!!!!
My ears ring from an explosion in the city. I turn my head in the direction, and I see the Sept of Baelor in ruins and on fire. Green flames spreading throughout the area.
BAAAAABOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!
Another explosion takes my eyes off the Sept of Baelor and toward Fleabottom. There, houses and people are being overtaken by Wildfyre. Explosion after explosion rings across the sky.
Silence falls on me as I turn my eyes away.
I know that I should be sick.
That I should be worried.
So many things I should be feeling.
But I don't feel any of them.
Tywin has decided that if he can't have King's Landing and the Iron Throne, then no one can. He's burning the hostages and civilians.
Making me watch as we both know what this will do for my coming rule.
He's forever turned to Smallfolk against me.
A brutal blow to deal me before his defeat.
But now it's time to end this.

The rising sun on the water makes for a beautiful way to wake up. It's mornings like this I'm glad things have turned out the way they have. My children are happy. Playing on the beach down below like they do every morning.
Daenys sleeps in my arms as I wait like I always do.
"By the Seven, they never stop eating!!"
The slightly tired and elevated voice of my sister takes my eyes off the sea. Daenys is feeding on me as well. Getting her morning meal in. Her blue dragon resting on my lap, it's tail wrapped around her small leg.
"That they do. However, I can't say I've had both my breasts fed upon by two babes at once."
As for feeding one of the babes and letting Rae partake at the same time, I can't say. After all, he's gentle. They aren't.
Mary has been at Rhaegar and Rhaella's beck and call. The twins have proven they're not the least bit concerned with what they're doing to their mother.
In the end, that's the plight. Our duty in this cruel world.
She releases a sigh as she makes her way over to me and takes a seat. It's been some time since Rae left. We've had to take to entertaining each other since he left, and as enjoyable as it is. It's not the same without him.
"Will my nipples ever recover, or will they forever be stretched like they are?"
Ah, yes. I remember that. They recover some in due time. But there will be some damage that stays forever.
"If you're lucky, they may return close to what they were. Aly and Jae wore me down. However, the period of time between them and Daenys gave me time to recover. This one right here is much gentler than her siblings."
I lean down and kiss the forehead of my daughter. In this motherly moment, I think about my husband and the father of my children.
My brother.
We should either be getting information about his victory or defeat soon.
It's the silence and waiting that's killing me.
But I know Rae, and he never fails.
