Was seeing someone else's reaction to FMA they talk about Ed and Armstrong being the same rank, and it just occurred to me why is he still a Major despite being around since before war even started? And it hit me its probably because he run away/abandoned his post during the war. So of course he'd still be a major after all these years he's probably stuck as one or was demoted down to Major for insubordination. Its sad to think about our big lovable bear of a man Armstrong probably looks at his rank and uniform with shame and disgust having not actually called out the military for their war crimes. I mentioned it in a previous comment but this why I love rewatching the show through reactions it lets you learn and find out new things about a show you probably watched dozens of times and still get something out of it years later.

2023-07-06 17:25:24 +0000 UTCIt's not very well explained, but furher Bradley is a special case. All of the other homunculi were made from nothing, while Bradley was once human. It's the reason he's the only homunculus that can age. Hope that helps. :)
