insaneintherainmusic Studio Tour 2021

I finally filmed an updated Studio Tour! The last setup tour I did was back in the old blue room, done in 2016, and clearly, a LOT has changed since then! It's a long video, but I went into detail on every instrument I own, all my mics, all my video gear, all software I use, and some general questions I always get about my setup!

This was a really fun and inspiring video - surprised myself by watching the whole thing! Very neat insight into your creative process - while I was in agreement with some of the things you discussed there were also some new concepts to me that I'm looking forward to playing with, and it gave me some additional ideas as well. Keep up the good work sir!

"Over here, we have my upright piano, my upright bass, and my upright accordion" Thanks for the really in-depth look at all the tools you use. I'm sure *many* of us watching have been curious about various aspects of how you make your music and your videos. I particularly appreciated hearing about which software you use, and what for. There are so many things available, it's a boon to get some opinions from someone who knows what they're doing. Also, thanks for the lols: "Hi, Carlos, here's a guitar, learn it" "It sounds like the forest, or...nuts." "Organ donor" pun is the best kind of bad "Go away, Pro Tools, no one wants you" Your parents are a sort of off-screen presence in this video. I'm sure they're very proud of you for how you're throwing yourself into what you love and making it happen; do they *get* your music? I'm thinking of my own parents--if I were actually producing the music that I imagine, they might be proud of me for making use of my talents, but hoo, it just would not jive with their musical tastes. Allow me to propose "This Cursed Hand" as the title of your hypothetical RPG. And I think the finale of your YouTube channel should involve an Orphan Black clone scene with a moving camera filming you playing every instrument in a big band at the same time. May we all find something in our lives that we can feel as excited about as Carlos feels about his musical instruments!
