No, it's most definitely not just you lmao. I definitely like the idea of them being together, but I think Light just isn't capable of romantic love. I can see L (subconsciously) falling for Light and it becoming a one-sided thing. In fact, it's very possible that that's exactly what happened. When you're as intelligent as Light and L are, you go through life being almost perpetually understimulated, misunderstood, and lonely. If you have a 180+ IQ, you probably won't ever meet another person whose IQ is within 2 standard deviations of yours, unless you actively seek them out by joining a society like Mensa, so L and Light meeting and working alongside each other was undoubtedly a very special experience for both. I also ship them platonically. When L told Light that he was the first friend he'd ever made, that hurt.
