"WHOOOOOOOO!!!"
"THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!"
"SHOW THEM THEY CAN'T WALK INTO OUR HOUSE AND TAKE A WIN!!!"
You'd think people this close to Canada would be nicer. The fans are cheering behind me. The Bucks have had a 15-point run. The Knicks haven't scored a basket since I got off the court.
It's 101 to 88 in favor of the Bucks. Tom is figuratively ripping his hair out. I'm taking my third quarter time out in stride. Getting some form of relaxation in.
I'm not tired due to the Inexhaustible badge, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a break when I get it. Even when my team is falling apart at the seams, there isn't a thing I can do about it.
There is still one minute and twenty seconds left in the third as well. The misery my teammates are going through right now will be over soon. When the fourth quarter starts, I'll start to take it up a notch.
In the meantime, all I can do is wait. There are fans behind me that are trying to heckle me, but again. I don't pay them any attention. It genuinely doesn't bother me.
When I'm as successful as I am, why should I care what some random Joe and his drunk friend think? It's a real problem for the more sensitive people in the NBA. Then again, there have been historically great players who were sensitive.
It's just not my personality.
"C'MON!! WHY THE HELL DID YOU FUCK THAT UP!!?"
Tom breaks me from my thoughts as he shouts from the sideline about the egregious way my team is playing, nearly overcoming the shouts from the people behind me.
The classic Knicks curse turns out to be real in this instance.
I do love a challenge.

Ellie is currently cussing up a storm at the way the Knicks are playing now that Ulysses is off the court. I've not seen this side of her on many occasions. When it comes to Ulysses, she becomes... I don't know how to describe it.
Overprotective? No. That's not right. Maybe something akin to motherly support. That's all I can think of to describe her reactions.
When the Knicks fail like this. Without Ulysses. It affects Ulysses in the sense of expectations being held. Every mother worth the title will be the first one on the front line in defense or support of their child or children.
That's what I'm seeing right now while I watch Ellie act the way she's acting.
"You know, there is still an entire quarter to go. And Ulysses said that he won't have to sit out for the fourth quarter for the next four games. The minute restriction he's on allows him to play for the fourth quarter."
Ellie darts her head at me, and she's red in the face. I choke back a laugh at the sight of her beautiful features frizzled. She sees this a realizes just what's going on. Passion does that to people.
"Oh, geez... I wasn't one of those moms when he was in high school. Why am I like this now?"
It's because Ulysses is playing against people that want to prove they're better than him. They want to see him fail. As his mother, she'd naturally be against that.
"It's because you see how this is different from high school."
She takes a seat next to me on the couch and releases a long sigh. The third quarter ends as she does. The score is 107 to 90 in favor of the Bucks. They've got a 17-point lead going into the fourth.
I can only guess what's going through Ulysses's head right now. Knowing him as I know him.
He's looking forward to it.

The fourth quarter is starting in 45 seconds, and I'm ready to bring the pain to Milwaukee. I'm walking out of this place with a Win. A comeback. And domination against one of the best teams in the last decade.
Time to play some basketball.
