Access To The Local Network II (Book 2) (Page 176)

~~~(POV: Scott Autumn)~~~
~~~(Location: Home, Living Room)~~~

The TV continues playing as I enter the kitchen and start making something to eat. As I do, I pull out my phone and go down my list of contacts. And I eventually find the number I'm looking for. A doctor by the name of Alaena Sharon. Dr. Alaena Sharon.

She's the doctor I want to handle our situation, and she's got all the necessary experience and skills to do that for us. I'm sure she has other clients like us.

I hit call, and she picks up after a couple of seconds.

"This is Dr. Alaena Sharon's office. How may we help you?"

Private doctors make a killing when it comes to doctor-patient confidentiality. And I think it's one of the best things about our medical system. But there are very few that you can call good.

"I'd like to schedule a home visit for today around 11:00 AM. Tell Dr. Sharon that I'm a wealthy customer that appreciates all the services she'll be providing."

We talk for a little bit longer. Mostly details about where I live and my address so Dr. Sharon can find me. After that's all handled, I put my phone in my pajama pocket and head back to the couch with an apple pie snack.

As I watch TV, I hear a shower running from my bedroom. And that tells me Jess is starting to get up and clear herself. After what we did last night, I don't blame her.

That reminds me, I should clean those sheets and blankets before bed tonight.

Once she's done with the shower, she makes her way to the living room in nothing but a bathrobe and sees me sitting on the couch. She immediately smiles and makes her way over. Grabbing the rest of my apple pie snack in the process.

"Hey, I was eating that."

She sits in my lap and takes a bite from the snack.

"Now I'm eating it. Besides, I'm starving after last night. I wasn't expecting that out of you. You've never talked dirty like that before, and it really pressed all the right buttons."

I'll admit, I don't know where that came from... Since I'm suffering from Debuffs now, I'm indulging in things I wouldn't normally do or say. And having that spontaneous sex last night is a good example.

"Well, I just followed my instincts. A doctor by the name of Alaena Sharon will be here around 11:00 AM, and we'll get you all checked out. She'll answer all the questions we have, and we won't have to worry about any information leaking."

Her hand unconsciously lands on her naval and gently rubs it. Her robe is open at this point, and her naked body is plain to see. The Arn Zael women are fiercely protective of their babies. Even when pregnant. And that explains most of Jessica's behavior.

The changes made to her by her race in The Aeternus Universe are present and thriving, which isn't a bad thing.

"That's good... What should we do until then?"

That's a good question.

~~~(Location: Internal Systems of The Keynote)~~~
There is no way I can construct the Data faster, and being here alone hammers home how much I like Scott's presence. I miss him. Life is better with him around, and I enjoy that he's on the same intellectual level as me.
It makes things easy. But for now, I'll have to deal with Durado. Speaking of that man, I should check on him. I open the cameras to the room, and I see he's gone already.
Figures.
He has no patients and is predictable in almost everything he does. But at least he won't be bugging me. Maybe he'll be eaten by some of the local wildlife.
How great would that be?
No more Durado messing with me, and we won't have to move so slow with him around.
But in the end, it's not like I want to murder the guy. I just wouldn't be upset if he died. And I know he'd feel the same way about me.
"Don't worry, Scott... Once you're back... Everything will be ready for exploration..."
Once I gain Access to the Local Network from here in less than 2 days at this point, it'll be easier to find out where we are on The Keynote, and where we should be going.
This is what Scott tasked me with, and I'm not failing.
