Access To The Local Network I (Book 2) (Page 175)

"WHERE THE HELL DOES HE GET OFF SAYING SOMETHING LIKE THAT TO ME!!?"
What Durado said to me on our trip to the nearest access point has been boiling inside. And now that I'm alone, I can get as upset and angry as I am with no one around to see it. I'm currently standing on a holographic platform while I surf through data.
I'm trying to find what I need to gain access to the network of The Keynote. And that means I need to find a hole in the firewall, or I literally hack it. From what's happening so far, I'm going with finding a hole in the firewall. And even that is almost impossible.
"Calm down, Aurora... That bastard isn't here to bother you... Focus... Get access so that everything will be taken care of when Scott gets back, and we can move forward."
Being in a highly emotional state isn't helping me.
Now, if I was a timelessly old machine with impenetrable encryption, where would my weakness really be...
Ah.
The lack of maintenance of systems. Even though it'll update on its own, The Primordium hasn't done anything manual since the firing of the Coda Arrey. This means I can emulate Primordium Identity and gain access.
The only problem is that it'll take me around 2 days to construct the needed codes and data. But at this point, I have that time. And I'm more than happy leaving Durado all on his own.
"Durado... You sack of crap... I hope you enjoy being alone for the next two days..."
He can't hear me, and I have no intention of warning him that I'll be gone for that long. Consider it payback for saying those things to me.

I have a sneaking feeling Aurora isn't coming back any time soon. I've been waiting here for the past 8 hours, and she's not said a thing to me or updated me on how things are going. So, I stand up and make my exit.
"If I don't need to be in that room, then I'm heading back to Immortalitas."
The Dreadnaught has way more comfortable seats than that old room. And it smells better too. But that's just me cause I need a shower.
I hope these days where Scott is gone go by fast cause I don't want to deal with Aurora all on my own. I know what I said was inappropriate, but the only time she takes what I say seriously is when I insult her in some way.
I used that to get the message alone that she needs to get a hold of herself and tell Scott how she feels. That guy is as dense as a black hole when it comes to women, but he has his moments.
"Well, Immortalitas, here I come."
I follow the same way I took to get here back to Immortalitas. And I get back after a couple of hours. What's weird it the day and night cycles are simulated on The Keynote. It feels and looks like you're standing on a real world.
But you're not.
I don't know the science behind it, but I bet it's something I wouldn't understand even if it were explained to me. I'm good at finding people, killing, and flying. My skills don't include... Whatever it takes to know all that crap about a simulated super environment.

Jess is still asleep, and it's getting close to 10 AM. I've called a private doctor, and she'll be here around 2 PM. So that gives Jess plenty of time to sleep and myself plenty of time to catch up on the events happening inside The Aeternus Universe that don't involve me.
That's why The Gaming News Channel is on.
"Recent reports are stating entire worlds are being consumed by The Parasite at an alarming rate. Many experts in the scene of games say this could lead to a game over a scenario if the player base doesn't and together."
This is good. The top guilds in the world are banning together and starting to take on The Parasite in full force. Jess is even a part of a Player Company. And that means when she goes back on today after we visit with the doctor, she'll have some fun.
But they're not wrong about a game-over scenario.
