The Primeval Inherent Arrives (Page 169)

There is nothing but darkness around me, and I know that I'm knocked out from getting what Aurora needed to locate The Dias. It was something that I expected. Everything is in their hands right now...
"You've come a long way from those first steps on Empyrian... I didn't think you'd get here so fast but will Teller-Bravo messing with things it didn't understand? I guess it's fate..."
A voice suddenly fills the empty darkness around me, and I can't find any discernable shapes.
"The World Computers predicted all of this... Some variables are still possible, such as the union between Jessica Autumn and yourself... That was a variable that we couldn't find an answer for... It was possible, but not probable... Strange..."
Whoever is talking to me knows far more than I thought possible. The Aeternus Universe isn't just a game... It's another reality... One we connect to...
Even with all my Traits temporarily debuffed, I can still see the obvious... I suspected it for some time, but the words coming from the darkness surrounding me finally confirm it.
"This will be the only time we can talk, Scott. There is one last thing you need to know. The Keynote and The Coda Arrey serve a second purpose. While the primary function is the annihilation of all life in the universe. It has an equally important function."
I had theories that might be possible, but in the end, I decided I'd make that observation when I saw a Coda Installation or The Keynote in person.
"The Coda Arrey acts as a prison... It holds the genetic information on dangerous alien species. All of them can't escape... While they're not as big a threat as the Parasite if unlocked and rebuilt. The universe would be in jeopardy, and there are no weapons to stop them. We didn't leave any behind since they're never supposed to get out."
He sure does like to talk a lot... I can't really tell if anything he's saying is true or not... My mind is a mess right now.
"One last thing... Please take care of Aurora... You're all she has, and she depends on you... She'll help you far more than you'd ever realize, and that's not because we designed her that way. It's because she wants to."
The voice fades away, and light surrounds me from all directions. But it's actually just me opening my eyes. Durado is carrying me, but I get free and balance myself out.

~~~(Location: Closing in on Immortalitas, Primordium Prime)~~~
"You're not permanently damaged, are you?!"
The concern escapes my holographic lips without my intention. I know that he won't have permanent damage, but I still want to hear him say it.
He doesn't respond and instead looks up above us. Well, more like above Primordium Prime. The Portal has been created, and it's waiting for us. It's the same size as a moon, and one of the biggest kinds you can get too.
"He's here..."
Out of nowhere, Borealis appears and startles all of us. We're almost to Immortalitas. But our vision is filled with a large fleet of infected Starships exiting hyperspace. There are already drones and machines moving to intercept the Parasite before it can land on the world.
"I'll hold him off for all long as you can... You'll be safe on the other side of the portal. He can't get through without you, and once you're through. It'll close. You'll be safe..."
She crouches, looks at Scott, and moves closer to him. I don't like the way she looks at him... It's the same way I look at him...
"You remind me so much of Eternal Acuity..."
Her holographic hand reaches out and brushes against his cheek, and he reacts with a deep breath. I don't like it, but it looks like she's helping him. Not hurting him. Some of her bluish energy is entering into his head.
"LET US JOIN TOGETHER, SCOTT!! WE CAN HAVE EVERYTHING IF YOU JOIN ME!!!"
The voice echoes through Primordium Prime... Probably from speakers that are on the ships descending onto the planet.
"You need to go now... Remember this. You'll never be alone in your fight against the Parasite."
Borealis disappears, and Scott turns his attention to the boarding ramp of Immortalitas. We don't waste any time, and we get aboard. Igniting the engines, and everything is back at full power.
"Set course for that portal... Time to see what's on the otherside... I've only had ideas on what The Keynote looked like..."
Despite the desperate situation we are in. Scott still sounds excited.
