The teleporter pops us out in a massive chamber, and almost everything is made of glass. The center of the room has a sort of pulsing energy to it, and I'm captured by the beauty that the glow has. I look at Durado, and he's the same way. "Wow, talk about a place you never thought you'd see..." He's not wrong. I didn't think I'd have another chance to get here so soon.
Aurora pops up in the terminal next to the blowing and pulsing ball of energy. She starts to run scans on it as I walk up next to her. "Readings indicate a hybrid creation between organic matter and pure energy. A technique the Primordium perfected. However, I can't access anything within..." A mix between organic matter and pure energy... Fascinating!
My mind is taking apart the amazing creation, and I'm seeing how it works. Aurora can't interact with the Nexus since she's not a Primordium. "To think that such a technology exists... I've never considered the possibilities of mixing organic matter and pure energy..." I reach out my hand and touch it. It pulses, and the energy envelopes my hand.
In the blink of an eye, I'm taken to a place that isn't familiar. Everything is different, and I'm in the middle of a massive room that looks like a council chamber. Aurora and Durado aren't here with me. "Now, the construction of the Coda Arrey is our last chance against the Parasite and The Primeval Inherent. The question is, what does this mean for us?" It's a recording...
I'm seeing a recording of what happened several millions or even billions of years ago. This was before the construction of The Keynote and The Coda Arrey... "Temperance Against Adversity, what do you think should happen to us?" My attention falls on a man that stands up at the call of his name. And I can't help being amazing by the full body armor the man is wearing.
My mind is already disassembling and memorizing everything about it, and it's one of the most amazing pieces of armor I've ever seen. The capability of his armor is staggering. "I think that we must die along with everything else when the Coda Arrey fires. But there is a hope for our race." So they made the choice to die along with everything else?
Why make such a decision if you don't have to? It's confusing to me, but they're much older and much wiser than I am. "In a very long time, beings from another dimension will arrive, and they'll be similar to humanity. There is one among them that carries a probability that will become an eventuality here. He'll be the last of us. And build on the foundations we've left..." The scene fades, and a new one forms.
I'm in the middle of a battlefield, and the warn torn area is Eternal Collective, the city I'm in. The Parasite is ravaging through the city, and the machines and weapons of Primordium Prime are giving them hell. But before any more progress can be made, light blue light sweeps across the world and kills everything it touches.
What I find astounding is they knew that I was coming. The message left for me on Immortalitas when I first activated it made me suspicious, but this confirms everything. The scene changes again, and a man in similar armor to Temperance Against Adversity is standing over a console to an AI that looks almost exactly like Aurora.
He's inputting commands into the console, and I'm memorizing what he's entering. "Borealis, I want you to make the final preparations for Aurora and send her away on Immortalitas. When Scott finds her, everything will be already in motion. Wipe her memories till the point of arrival on Immortalitas. She must not remember what's happened in her time with us..." This is so amazing. So much history! All of this is blowing my expectations away!
The AI starts to run some programs, and she smiles as a little light is sent away through a glass cable. That must be Aurora. "Transcendent Builder Eternal Acuity, will I also be destroyed upon the destruction of all life?" So that's the man's name, and I don't know why. But it's like looking at Aurora and myself in a different age and time.
The armored man turns to her and presses a button. She disappears and is sent away too. "No, Borealis... There are things you must show Aurora before it's time for you to go... My time is almost up... The Coda Arrey has been fired, and it's only a matter of time before it reaches The Keynote..." This is where this conversation took place... I have so many questions.
