The Destruction of Kelromera (Page 151)

There are 5 minutes left until we're destroying Kelromera, and everyone on the planet has been evacuated. Their data says 100 percent evacuated, which leaves an empty world ready to be destroyed. "Aurora." She appears in the terminal next to me as I call her name. "Begin the charging of the Quantum Particle Cannon." It's one of several weapons at the disposal of Immortalitas.
It's not the same weapon used to destroy the fleet Teller-Bravo sent. The one that Durado told me about. That weapon is a Radiation Infused Ino Cannon with a Negatively charged coefficient. It's fantastic against other technology. But it'll do little damage to a planet. "What power do you what the Quantum Particle Cannon to be charged to?" Different strokes for different folks.
The complete annihilation of Kelromera is needed if we want to get into its core, so around 4 percent should be fine. "Fire the weapon at 4 percent power. That's more than enough to do the damage we need to do." She starts the process, and the amazing Nanotechnology of Immortalitas is on full display. We watch the front and middle of the massive Dreadnaught begin to change.
It splits apart and starts to build new pathways for the transfer of power, and the formation of a Quantum Core start, and it's slowly surrounded by metal and disappears inside the forming Cannon. After a couple of seconds, the ship's center is open, and a Cannon is pointing directly at Kelromera. The power bar raises to 4 percent, and it's ready.
Aurora turns to me and prepares for my commands. Durado is on the edge of his seat and ready for the fireworks. "Fire." She looks back towards the weapon as matter and energy fly out from the front of the Cannon. It collides with Kelromera, and the Quantum effects of the Cannon start to begin. Cracks spread in perfect uniformity, and the atmosphere burns away from the heat.
The Lush and endless jungles of Kelromera are burning, and the oceans are evaporating. It's a disturbing sight, and I hope to never use this on a planet with actual people on it. In the next second, the planet explodes, and everything is blown apart in equal directions and with equal force. While being flung through reality and Quantum Space.
Durado stands from his chair and watches as debris collides with Immortalitas's shields. What's left is a metal cube the size of a moon, and it's actually a storage device. "That's the weapons depot we're after. It has the weapons needed to destroy an entire galaxy." Aurora sends out a probe to retrieve it. This means we still have time to end The Primeval Inherent and the Parasite.

Recordings of what's happened to Kelromera are all over The Inter-Galactic Network. My homeworld is gone forever, and my eyes are locked on the massive Dreadnaught that has done such a thing. Mom and dad are distraught, but it's not like we left anything important behind. "What kind of power is that..." Dad asks a good question...
From the looks of it, it's highly sophisticated, and of foreign design from anything I've ever seen. There aren't any starships located across the universe capable of such things. While starships can destroy planets, they can't do it using Nanotechnology. "I don't know, dad, but it'd be smart to avoid wherever that thing is going." Mom and dad are staying quiet as the footage replays.
What astounds me is how fast it happened... In the span of a few seconds. The Cannon formed, charged, and fired. Nothing can compete with speed like that. "What do you think is inside that metallic cube?" Mom points out something I didn't see in the recording. I isolate the frame and zone in on it. Whatever it is, that's the reason they're here.
There are too many things happening these days, the Parasite, this... Ever since the Players arrived, it's been slowly ramping up in chaos. "Whatever is inside that metallic cube. It's the reason they came and destroyed Kelromera. Best guess, it holds information or weapons that they're after." They wouldn't destroy a planet if it were any less of a reason.
