Techese, A Close Galaxy to Impyra (Page 148)

~~~(POV: Scott Autumn)~~~
~~~(Location: Immortalitas, Floating Above a Gas Giant)~~~

We're in the Techese Galaxy, huh... From the information I learned about it, it's filled with star systems that have planets that can support life. It's an anomaly of a galaxy. "Since you aren't panicking, Aurora. I assume The Primeval Inherent hasn't escaped the Quarantine around Impyra." The Parasite and The Primeval Inherent can't be held forever.

She places her hands on her hips and brings up a screen full of data. I immediately process everything my eyes look at, and I get what she's showing me. "From what I've gathered from the Inter-Galactic Network, they're sending soldier and strike forces in to deal with the infestation inside Impyra." It's a sad thought knowing what has happened to Imypra.

Pleknore and Meiklare were good people, and I hate the thought of them being consumed by the Parasite. There is a chance they made it out alive, but I doubt it. "That's not going to end well, and I suggest we come up with a plan to deal with The Primeval Inherent before he starts infecting the rest of the universe." Her serious tone causes Durado to join us.

He stands next to me and looks through the data too, but I doubt he understands it. If we're to beat The Primeval Inherent, we need to kill him and the Parasite he commands, and it's a part of it at the same time. If either is left alive, the other will surely return. "As much as I don't want to ask this, do you know of any weapons that can wipe out a galaxy?" If anyone knows, it's Aurora.

She's the person with knowledge about Primordium weapons and technology. While I can learn it, she already might know something. "The best option I can think of is using Coda Installation 05. It's the nearest one, but if we use a tactical pulse, many trillions will die in this part of the universe." Okay. That's one option. Another is building a weapon ourselves.

A weapon strong enough to wipe out a single galaxy, all of its planets, stars, matter. Everything. The Coda Arrey is meant to wipe out anything sentient. Leaving behind the planets and stars. We don't need to do that for Impyra. "Are there any weapon sites The Primordium has left behind for us?" Durado asks what's on my mind. I can build a weapon, but I need Primordium tech.

Anything I can make with the current technology level of The Aeternus Universe isn't strong enough to destroy a galaxy. And making that technology would take too long. "There is a hidden weapons depot in Techese, but it's going to require us to destroy a world to get to it." Sometimes, you have to make sacrifices to progress to a better future.

Durado is silent at the prospect of destroying a planet. "The World is now known as Kelromera, and it's a lush jungle world with a population of 2.47 billion. We can have the planet evacuated, or we can eradicate it and everyone on it to save time." Aurora isn't being cruel. She's listing off the possibilities. One saves us time, and the other further jeopardizes a Quarantine break.

The Primordium weapons depot is buried in the world's core based on the data Aurora is showing me. "Send a warning to them, and if they're not gone by the time, we get there. Give them one hour. After that, we're destroying the planet and everyone on it. We can't waste time at this point." I'm surprised to hear this coming out of Durado. He made it sound like an order and not a suggestion.

Aurora ignores him and waits for me to give the commands, and it's frustrating Durado. "Aurora, send them the warning and prepare the Hyperdrives. Once we get there, we're giving them 6 hours. Immortalitas should be enough intimidation to show we're serious." She snaps her fingers, and Immortalitas begins to move. She disappears from her terminal and into the Dreadnaughts systems.

Durado takes a seat and runs a hand through his hair. "Listen, kid... This shit isn't what either of us signed up for. But I'm glad that we're doing this together. It'd be shit luck if it weren't us..." Durado and I have come a long way together. I still hope to help him find his daughter, but I think he's come to accept she's dead. But he's motivated to kill The Primeval Inherent. He's the one that took her. If Durado's daughter is anything like him, I think she's still alive somewhere.
