1973 Matra Simca MS670 Early Access Release!!! - Assetto Corsa

The MS670 was powered by a high-revving naturally aspirated 3.0L V12 MS73 engine that produced 450 HP at 10,500 RPM. Designed for Group 5 sports car racing, the MS670 featured a lightweight aluminum monocoque chassis and weighed only 675kgs. The MS670 had a 5 speed manual gearbox. It also featured an advanced aerodynamic design for the time, which while relatively low drag still provided excellent stability through high speed corners. The MS670 could reach speeds upwards of 320 km/h (nearly 200 mph) on long straights like the Mulsanne at Le Mans. The MS670 would claim a 1-2 finish at the 1973 24 Hours of Le Mans, in the midst of three consecutive Le Mans victories from 1972-1974.

1. Race wear texturing applied to various parts of the car (especially within the interior).
2. Animated driver steering & shifting.
3. 10 liveries (8 historical & 2 fictional), along with actual drivers from 1972-1974.
4. Four historically accurate gauges: Oil temp, oil pressure, RPM, fuel level, & water temp.
5. Historically accurate physics based upon researched data. We also have used CSP extended physics to include more accurate additional physics simulation:
a. CSP advanced physics tire code to enable a physical tire simulation (as opposed to a single contact point).
b. RainFX support.
c. Brake temperatures fully simulated, including brake fade.
d. Tire wear visuals, so you can actually see the tires wearing. And the tire will even explode visually if they blow.
e. Visual tire flex and deformation.
f. Transmission damage model.
g. Engine damage model, with misfiring and power loss based on current engine health.
h. Dozens of advanced CSP improvements over default Assetto Corsa physics engine.

Please remember that HSS mods require the use of Custom Shaders Patch by Ilja with Assetto Corsa to enable the advanced features. DO NOT USE CSP v0.2.3 (preview versions especially).

These are definitely my favorites, when you guys do vintage lemans racers from 60's-70's. I dont really feel much of a desire to download gp cars, as it's kinda hard to have anything high quality to fill the rest of the grid with and would actually be balanced. But with lemans racers I feel like we've got a bunch of options already, and most the cars were never all that balanced in real life lol. So it's a real treat to finally get a new car to plop in our grids
