After confirming that I was able to produce a quick video in the warehouse, I wanted to go back and see if I could make something a bit more involved, while still not getting too carried away. I think I succeeded.
A really interesting thing about the way this new space works is that it's really easy to shoot without a script (I just have a crib sheet) because when I inevitably lose track of what I have and haven't covered already, I can just go in the other room, rough cut the footage I already have. That tells me not just what I've said and what I haven't, but also how much runtime I've eaten up, so I can know mid-shoot whether I've chewed up a ton of unnecessary screen time meandering around on some subject that should really be abridged. I think the result is a lot better than the basement workbench vids were.
