When I saw that the last chapter was going to have a rewrite I was happy, I waited patiently but I can't hide my disappointment... I loved the whole story, one of my favorites without any doubt but this ending, although logical, seems to me too quick, too abrupt, sloppy

2024-03-28 18:05:17 +0000 UTCI considered it a nice change of pace, in multiple stories the guy being cuckolded or cheated on never wins, I think this is the first time I remember ever seeing this happen. Which was refreshing to me, and pleased me. For those that want Toby to win, he disappeared at the end of the story, and could always come back in the new one. He's already been mentioned by Luna, Kim, and Amanda while communicating.

2024-03-24 15:05:07 +0000 UTCI think a lot of people are upset because they want Toby to "win" and won't be satisfied until he knocks Kim up and has Josh a fully wimped Cuck. For me I can't stand Toby, his thoughts of himself as an alpha are delusional and the combination of his narcissism and mysogyny mean he wouldn't be able to maintain a romantic relationship with Kim even if she split from Josh. His only loving attempts towards her are from what he's witnessed Josh do and she would see through him within days without her attention on Josh. I like Josh he's a stand up guy and deserves a lot better, my hope is Kim truly realizes this before it's too late. Oh and I don't consider Amanda to be "better" either ;)

2024-03-23 07:38:51 +0000 UTCI would agree. The only major thing I felt that was different was Josh and the baseball bat. Nothing else really changed. I was expecting a little something more at the ending with regards to the discussion at the pool but that did not occur. I have read a young couples journey. I don't know why everyone is so upset about it. Its a good read and basically Kim trying to set things right. I also agree with you that Josh and Kim are not on the same level emotionally with regards to each other

2024-03-22 19:45:58 +0000 UTCI thought this was going to be added "fluff" but changing when Kim noticed Josh was gone from the end of the sex where she flees in search filled with fear of what she's done to part way through with one of her now infamously lame attempts to stop Toby before begging him to go hard with no regard for Josh or her marriage anymore seemed a huge change. This for me also changes the honesty and sincerity of her claims at the end of this draft and in the first chapter of The couple's Journey. With the original draft I'd changed my opinion a little on Kim and thought they might have a chance, with this change I'm back to being convinced Josh is going to end up broken.
