OK a couple technical corrections, the chopper uses Aviation fuel not diesel. Over the desk medications in the US is over the counter. Maybe for the first mission they would have been armed with basic weapons, but after seeing the behemoths etc and shear numbers they're dealing with, they would have had grenades, LAWs, even Dragons with each squad. They also would have had M60 machine guns, 2 per squad. Technically, they never would have gotten close enough to the corridor to get the people onto the ramp, but we can pretend these are special Chinook's with a rotor much further forward :)
