Grab your tissues and reading glasses as we dive into the brand new album from Ethel Cain, following the EP Perverts drop earlier this year. Ive got some mixed feelings about the album right now so itll take a bit for me to figure how to feel about it over all. Right now i feel like i enjoyed the pacing of it and just blew me away with the tragedy of the storyline knowing what we know now with context from preachers daughter. She's one of a kind y'all, i hope ya like listening and figuring it all out with me :) pleaseee let me know down below how you feel about the record!

i'm two months late to this but oml! when the album first came out i was NOT a fan. tried giving it a few listens but other than like... fuck me eyes and nettles it wasnt really hitting. and then a week later i got to see her show in berkeley and HOLY SHIT. this album was meant to be experienced live. like, idk if this will get lost in the void (probably) but if you have not seen any clips of her tour i BEG you to. it's a religious experience truly (and i was raised catholic, i should know). so much so that this went from being my least favorite of her projects to my absolute top one. she's a genius, and im sad we've closed the chapter on ethel cain as a character in her discography, but excited to see what she does next. <3

I grew up in texas with tornados, and the whole time i was hearing hospital beeping then all of a sudden I heard radar beeping. It was during the half step and I got full body chills. I don't know if it was intentional on Hayden's part to do this but I swear i hear weather radar beeps there
