Seeing you post a reaction video literally moved this movie up my watch list and it was so worth it, this was so much fun

Sierra

pretty sure that in the three hour long uncut version they confirmed that rumi and jinu got togheter or something

Nora Austeraa

is troy going to find out about EXO??

Snow

cba reading to see if anyone else already commented about this, but it might interest u to know that the creators confirmed celine killed rumis mom but the scene was cut for runtime so hopefully it makes it to the sequel (😱) oh and also confirmed that the girls adopted the tiger and the bird after

silly willy

Ooooh, a reaction to NANA would be amazing! I'd love it

My theories about Demons. There seem to be different kinds. In the intro/lore dump, we see three souls being sent back to Gwi-Ma which then are spit out as three different kinds of animated demons (ones with faces and personalities). That's one way you can become a demon, your soul is fed to Gwi-Ma and he controls you though you have some agency. Then there are ones like the water demons. In traditional Korean thought people who drowned without the proper rights for their souls became water demons. That may be true of the other kinds of what I call "type demons." The third kind are the ones who made a deal with Gwi-ma and he then owns their souls, but they retain more of their personality as a human, and their memories. These are the ones dressed in traditional Joson-era court dress with the hats. Some you see dressed like this are obviously still pretty evil, and were probably evil people in life. Some, like the Saja Boys were probably just greedy but no one special, and then ones like Jinu who sold his soul for at least a somewhat "good" reason (as someone else mentioned below, his memory clearly shows him trying to bring his mother and sister with him to the palace, but they were denied, in a moment of weakness and self-justification, he continued on in and left them behind, for which he has suffered 400 years of shame and misery). These jeoseung saja, or underworld emissaries, still have more agency than most demons, and some powers, but they are controlled by Gwi-ma through their souls, either shame and misery, or greed, or whatever emotion is strongest. The last kind of demon are the faceless mass demons that emanate directly from Gwi-ma and are an extension of his personal power. These are the ones we see attacking the train and trying to stop Huntrix from singing the final song and creating a new Honmoon. As we see in that final battle, Gwi-ma can also re-absorb them to bring some of his own power back into himself. These are less demons and more just extensions of Gwi-ma. There's my theory of KPDH demonology.

Loved his reactions! Since he likes anime, I would love to see his reaction to NANA and Carole & Tuesday - I feel like he’d love the music from them.

Mad Magnolias

Another thing I saw about speculation on Jinu is that he has survivors guilt and didn’t leave his family behind I saw someone explain that back then when kings found talents they liked they forced them to perform and they basically had no choice but to do it on kings orders or face death possibly for disobedience and that’s what happened and Gwi Ma manipulates your unhealed emotions. I still think that it would be interesting to explore regret if he had chosen to leave them, makes him a complicated human which we all are, we make bad choices at times but it doesn’t have to define us as bad people (of course depending on the impact your choices had on others and how or what you’re doing to create reparations).

Erika Santana

this film was so much fun to watch

PALOMA

As much Gwi Ma seems to represent shame for the main characters and negative self thoughts overall, i think Gwi Ma is STILL an evil being who twists/controls you to his will, makes a deal with you but doesn’t deliver his end all the way through, just like deals with the devil! For Jinu, i don’t think the memory from his past, paired with guilt and shame he feels that keeps him under Gwi Ma’s influence, was fully true. Gwi Ma also probably would have never erased his memory since that memory is what keeps Jinu a demon (and what allows Gwi Ma to control him), imo! I wish we would have gotten more backstories from all the idols :’)

mareeyadee

Wait these are actual songs from real bands?!?!

Trent Tellier

Seeing Troye geek out over Twice and EXO songs not knowing it’s them is hilarious 🤣

Shannon Cleveland

The intro reminds me of Sinners! 👀Which hopefully is on the list plsss

Melanie Sinclair

Only living for yourself and extreme selfishness ends up making you a demon. Demons are made and only changed behavior can change your patterns. Habits make the person and demons never change. This is what I got from it.

Virginia

Troy since you loved this movie so much you NEED to delve some more into K-pop! Groups like the saja boys could be en hyphen, ateez, seventeen! And there so many amazing girl and boy groups you would sooo love their production is insane!!

Catalina Castro

22:44 that’s TWICE Troy!! Not their most recent release, but it’s the one before (i think) SUCHHHH a good release I love it.

freya 🌺

Not to nerd out about this movie but this is my 7th watch so 😭 i will nerd out. i don’t remember all your questions tbh but there is a lot ppl tend to miss because it goes super fast. for more context on why it feels a little fast, it was supposed to be 3 hours long but netflix made sony cut it. there was originally 30 songs on the soundtrack. now i’m not big into kpop culture but i did a little research! I’ll label them with Speculation or Fact so you can distinguish the two! 1. Fact: Jinu’s Mother and Sister were saved by the Hunter’s at the beginning of the movie. 2. Fact: There’s two voice actors for the main characters; 1 singing VA and 1 speaking VA. (Speculation: Some of the singers were ex-Idol tryout members. 99% sure you have to audition to be an Idol and the Singing VA for Jinu (I think) was too tall.) 3. Fact: Twice was featured in the movie because of the song Strategy, which was featured when Rumi launched the Golden release countdown. 4. Speculation: There was a different set of Hunters per generation of music however Gwi-Ma has always been the villain as far as we know. There’s speculation that since Rumi’s mom died, PSY has been sealing the Honmoon 😂 5. Speculation: Only two demons died the entire movie: the flight attendant at the beginning and Jinu. Demons can only die if absorbed by Gwi-Ma. Whenever they turn into that pink dust (by getting slashed by the Hunters) they are just teleported back to Demon Unworld. 6. Fact & Speculation: When they go to the Juice Dr., Rumi looks at a photo of 4 boys in the wall with the doctor for an extended amount of time. The speculation us that these are the 4 other Saja boys. You’ll notice if you look at them closely, they are zombie-like unless they are performing on stage. I imagine we might get more context in shorts or the future part 2 (rumored 2028 release), but it seems like the Saja boys would do anything to be a popular idol group, including selling their souls to Gwi-Ma. 7. Fact: “Love Maybe” plays when Jinu appears for the first time! The actor behind Jinu’s voice, Ahn Hyo-seop, was in Netflix’s “Business Proposal” as the male lead. This was the main theme song of that show so it was a little nod to him. <3 8. Fact: Soda pop is an evil song 😂 a lot of people are relating it to adult time, which I guess it could be, but the whole theme of their songs is sell me your soul so Gwi-Ma can eat it. 9. Fact: Each of the Saja boys represents random little parts found in kpop idol/boy band culture (besides Jinu): 1. Abby Saja: the dumb jock with no personality 2. Mystery: the quiet, mysterious hot one who hardly talks 3. Baby: the grown man with a deep voice who’s perpetuated as a child 4. Romance: the ugly one. LOL 10. Fact: The tiger and the magpie are inspirations from Minhwa Folk art. They are directly inspired by hojak-do, a style of Korean folk art from the Joseon era. Tigers and magpies were often used a symbols to poke fun at people in power. In the movie they are named Derpy (tiger) and Sussy (magpie). 11. Fact: Gwi draws from gwishin, meaning ghost or spirit in Korean where as Ma often appears in words like akma, which means devil or evil spirit. 12. Fact & Spectulation: When they were singing “Free” Rumi was showing Jinu that the Honmoon would accept him by allowing him to walk through it. (My hypothesis is that Gwi-Ma feeds on guilt and shame which is how he captures your soul and puts you in “limbo” (trapped in your shame) while he feeds off you. Jinu still had a soul and that’s how Rumi set him free and he was able to walk through the lines of the Honmoon in this scene). Also from this scene on, you’ll see that Rumi is animated in 1 frame = 1 motion unlike previously when she was 2 frames = 1 motion. All of the demons are 1 to 1. 13. Fact: Celine is a di**. JK but fr she represents the toxicity in idol culture especially when it comes to female artists. 14. Fact: During Your Idol the Saja boys were styled (black hanboks and traditional horsehair hats) after jeoseung saja aka the Korean grim reaper. Saja alone also means lion which is why they use the lion motif. 15. Fact: Huntr/x’s costumes and props include norigae (traditional Korean Tassel accessories) and their weapons resemble ancient shamanic tools. 16. Fact: During early development EXO’s “Love Me Right” was only a temp track to set the tone for introducing the Saja boys. It ended up making the cut in the final movie! 17. Fact: I cry every time I hear What it Sounds Like 18. Fact: The Honmoon has not been perma-sealed! We can tell by the blue Honmoon patter and the fact that Derpy and Sussy are still human side 19. Speculation: Very very quick scene but when Zoey sees Mystery’s eyes for the first time, Aby and Romance are also seeing his eyes for the first time. There’s a brief moment of shock on their faces. 20. Fact: Zoey is wearing a Derpy hoodie at the end of the movie. Not sure why but it’s cute Something I really enjoyed as a woman with a deep voice was how feminine they made Mira. Also the representation of Asian-American struggles with Zoey. I also believe the team that made Spiderverse made this movie which is why its so good lol. That one movie really did change animation forever.

Picklebre

you reacted exactly how i was expecting/wanting you to!! i love this movie sm

landry r

I was sure you were gonna enjoy this movie and you did!!!! So happpy

Patricia Tacliad

Also sorry for the double coment but yes! They do weekly award shows. Whenever a band releases another song they perform on multiple programs called variety shows live, and whatever artists release stuff "win" based on who's is more popular. They are usually smaller and indoors, and i think its a lottery system or something to get in? Then they have end of the year award ceremonies. It gives the artists a chance to show different live performances. They are great!

Damodachi

I hope this is Troy's break into kpop (but pls go back in time because a lot of new stuff is tiktok coded) we need 2012-present day let's gooo

Damodachi

Honestly I would kill for this being Troy's intro into (newer) K-pop lol

Emma Barnes

If you listen back. The tune the crowd is humming after their souls radiate honmoon light is the melody for golden. They thought golden was THE track but really it was the building blocks 🥹😭

SerotoninSiren

Key pieces of info that don’t get portrayed well enough and are just so 🥲🥲 Jinu and rumi actually had MANY meetings and cutesy dates building their connection before he agrees to help her.. This movie was originally over 3hours long and Netflix made them cut a bunch of stuff. Also just another thing I love. Jinus sister and mother are saved by the first demon hunters. If you watch the flashback of them and the opening scene at the same time you can see theyre wearing the same kimonos and run up to the castle gate before being saved

SerotoninSiren

wow this is amazing!

Bree Tratt

yesss!! I love this point, he can’t be evil 😭

Bree Tratt

Now watch it again and swap “patterns” for queerness 🤭

Jordan Murphy

It's funny you mention being into Kpop back when GDragon began and talking about light sticks...he invented them. Made them what they are, probably not long after you stopped listening to kpop.

Melanie Vaudrin

It’s officially time to request K/DA reactions me thinks, as they were confirmed one of the main inspirations for this movie!!

MilkshakeBar

“This is a threat!” 😂😂😂😂

vin deasley

Yo bro what's the discord

Samantha Whaley

Yes to prince of Egypt!!! It's so good!!

Samantha Whaley

THEY JUST ANNOUNCED THE SEQUEL TO BE IN THE WORKS. WE DEMANDED IT LOL

Samantha Whaley

Also there is talk that each of the other boys represent the industry mystery=fans entitlement with knowing everything, romance=the social aspect of being in love with celebrities, baby= the stereotypical baby face of K Pop, Abby= the stereotypical "hot" buff dude that is idolized and seggsualized

Rachel M

The sequel has been confirmed for 2028

Rachel M

Please please please do a react to Prince of Egypt (omg will ruin you), Les Mis, and Newsies!!! 🙏🏼

Cassie Quach

I saw your TikTok of How It's Done and that led me here. First impression ever, first thing I ever saw from you. Love it. I love how you enjoy things ❤️❤️❤️

Samantha Whaley

Love the reaction. One thing though, I feel like people take the whole thing with Jinu's family too at face value. I think it's way more nuanced. Especially considering how absolute emperors were back in that time. There's a lot of cultural aspects and Jinu was still definitely manipulated. I don't think its so straight forward.

Brittany Allison

Spotify and all music platforms have the soundtrack on it, including the huntrix version of take down and the twice version. I prefer the huntrix version ❤️

Samantha Whaley

ok already coming back to tell you that you do have to buy the lightsticks for like $60-$80 so 😭 still LOVE tho!

olivia

I WAS WAITING FOR THIS ONE YES GOD

olivia

Never too late to get into more kpop 👀 Also you have to buy the light stick 😅 but it's worth it so much, they have them synced up when you enter the venue and the colors change with the music. It's amazing.

Samantha Whaley

Please watch Moulin Rouge next!! My absolute favorite movie and the music 🤌🏻

Becca

Omg I’m so glad you finally watched this!! 😆😆

Briana

BEEN WAITING FOR THISSS

Lemaeeee

Please do epic the musical i beg you

Emilia M

If you liked the song that played when the Saja Boys first appeared, you should definitely check out EXO's "Love Me Right" - that's where it's from! I'd love to see some kpop reactions if you ever get interested in that! ^^

haze

I love the way you react to the songs. Literally the epitome of me when I first watched it. Just dancing and vibing

Melanie

I beg you listen to some newer kpop! I'm personally a huge Stray Kids fan and tbh I think you'd love their music

pinkcharpie

I'm too lazy to check and see if someone has already commented about this, but I learned this today and it lowkey blew my mind!! The name 'Saja Boys' is (supposedly, according to google [ya know, a trusted resource]) reference to not only the Korean word Saja, which means lion, but also to 'Jeoseung Saja'!!! The grim reaper that leads souls to the other side!!! So fucking bad ass!!! The writers both lyrically and narratively worked HARD on this movie and it shows!!!!

vladdy

I saw a comment from someone that Mira, Romance, and Abby’s ship name could also be called Pink Poly Club 😭

Sav

Typed this up as a comment for another creator but thought I'd use it here for anyone who was curious about the deeper themes or references that I caught: Yes! I’m so thrilled you enjoyed the film! Honestly, this movie combined way too many of my special interests, so I fear I know way too much about tiny niche details that might not be obvious if you’re not familiar with Korean culture. If I’ve misunderstood anything, Korean friends, please jump in—most of this comes from 15 years of watching Korean entertainment and being fascinated by its culture, folklore, and history but frankly I'm still just a white American woman with an ADHD hyperfixation that has just collected this info from secondhand sources over time. This is almost all my own knowledge but I used chatgpt to compile all this cohesively and get the proper terminology and korean terms for things. On the folklore: One of my favorite touches is the “saja” (사자). It’s a clever bit of wordplay—on one hand, its the korean word for lion which obviously ties to the lion mascot of a boy group in the movie and their fandom name “The Pride.” On the other, it’s a nod to the “Joseung saja” (저승사자), the Korean Grim Reaper which the boys are stylized as in the demon world. In folklore, the Grim Reaper isn’t scary so much as a bureaucratic guide to the afterlife and can often be tricked or reasoned with in old folktales. I think this makes a nice touch to allow Jinu to have character development. The “demons” as you see in the movie are actually a mix of Korean folk creatures. In addition to the grim reapers mentioned earlier there are dokkaebi (도깨비) are kind of like fae but generally translated as goblins—mischievous rather than evil, sometimes helping and sometimes making trouble. There are also ghosts like the crying ghost (울음귀신, ureum gwishin), symbolizing spirits who died with deep sorrow generally young unmarried women or "virgin ghosts", and the water ghost (물귀신, mul gwishin), thought to haunt the places where they drowned. The film also nods to minhwa (민화), traditional Korean folk art, through its use of tiger (horangi) and magpie (kkachi) imagery. This pairing, known as hojakdo, is a classic motif. In minhwa. The tiger is normally drawn kind of wonky/humorously (which is totally in line with the character design of the tiger in the movie!) and can represent strength, protection, or even poke fun at authority figures, while the magpie is a bringer of good news. These paintings were often believed to have protective or lucky qualities, and seeing this visual language in the film works as a subtle cultural Easter egg for viewers familiar with the tradition. Tigers and Magpie are the national symbol and bird of Korea so that's how relevant these creatures are to korean culture and national identity. Huntr/x is essentially a modern, K-pop-infused take on Korean shamanism (muism). This practice dates back thousands of years and has traditionally been led by women (mudang), who use music, dance, and ritual to connect with the spirit world. In the film, this becomes a magical-girl concept—think Sailor Moon or Jem and the Holograms (for my fellow old fogeys) but deeply rooted in Korean culture. Their performances act like modern shamanic protection rituals, and the “honmun” they create mirrors these traditions. My personal read on the films themes is that it is commentary on shame in a lot of ways. The Demon King (Gwima) uses shame, symbolized by the marks, to control and isolate people into being tools of evil and as Rumi becomes more and more pressured and ashamed of her identity as half demon and the secret she has to keep the marks continue to grow. I think it's also deep to show how YOUNG she began to understand shame and isolation and being different and "other." Celine being the mechanism for that also shows the role in generational trauma, I think. How even adults who love you and are trying their best (Celine saying "Everything I was ever taught told me that you were wrong" or something to that effect) can still impose the same shame and harm on you even though they think they are protecting you. At first the Honmoon is built on a Confucian-inspired ideal of unity through uniformity—perfection is required to belong, and flaws invite judgment. This originally was a needed system of survival necessary for the culture to come together and overcome obstacles both historically and in the films lore. I think this also can refer to the pressure on K-pop idols to maintain a spotless image, where even small “offenses” like vaping or dating can spark backlash so i think this adds even more layers. By the end, Rumi and the girls reject that premise and build a NEW honmun not rooted on the foundation of shame but built on the connection and unity found through authenticity and vulnerability. Rumi’s marks, once symbols of her persistent shame and fear now glow with the same colors of the new honmun, turning imperfections into strength and beauty that she embraces. I think it’s a powerful metaphor for how embracing and sharing our vulnerabilities can create a stronger, more genuine sense of connection and community. also think Zoey’s character speaks to the “third culture kid” experience of Korean Americans—caught between worlds and not fully belonging to either. Even her lyrics seem to reflect that. It’s one of those little touches that makes the movie work on two levels: fun and action-packed on the surface, but packed with cultural depth if you want to dig in. Long story short: this movie is awesome at a surface level, and when you look deeper, it has even more to to say about and appreciate within Korean culture. And that’s just really, really cool to me. Also the song that plays when the Saja Boys appear is by EXO called Love Me Right and I don't believe it appears on the official soundtrack and the other song with the meet cute between Jinu and Rumi when she falls is a song by the duo Melomance that appears on "Business Proposal" a famous (its on netflix) kdrama where the voice actor for Jinu (Ahn Hyoseop) is the male lead. It's hilarious if you want to dip your toes into kdramas. ALSO ALSO: The venue that the final battle is set at DOES NOT EXIST at the top of Namsan tower. If you are ever in Seoul right by the Myeongdong neighborhood (very touristy but foreigner friendly to be sure) is Namsan - san being the word for mountain. Namsan tower, maybe called N tower now (?) is at the top of the mountain and can be reached by cable car thing. There is no venue there, just a cute little park kind of area where people like to leave little love locks with their loved ones. Very cute place to view the Seoul skyline at sunset/dusk/evening.

Lauren Freeman

Ok, the directors pulled KPOP idols from all different groups to make Huntrix and the Saja Boys. Rumi is voiced by EJAE, and Jinu by Andrew Choi, but all characters have different voice actors and singers. EJAE wrote most of the music and when she provided the demos to the directors they decided she was the one who should voice Rumi.

Lee

Pied Piper by BTS is literally this in a nut shell

Sierra

these groups in the movie were inspired by many kpop groups that are here today. saja boys were inspired after groups such as ATEEZ and stray kids. definitely would recommend checking them out! light sticks are such a fun part about kpop concerts but they do cost money to buy 😭😭😭 they even have names! bts lightstick is called army bomb and twice’s lightstick is called a a candy bong. EJAE the singing voice of rumi had a lot to do with the production and writing of the songs in the movie. i heard it was supposed to be a 3 hour movie but they had to cut it down!! rumors of there being a date scene with rumi and jinu at an aquarium!!! i think it has been confirmed we are getting a part 2! there is also a speculation that the bird and tiger are a representation of juni’s little sister and his mother. so glad you checked out this movie!!!

Summer Vang

also! in “this is what it sounds like” when the girls meet in the middle and hug zoey and mira’s outfits change from black to white and have patterns on them showing their acceptance of rumi!!

sarahorgann

Yay! I was hoping you were going to react to this one. I was giggling right there with ya :) Thanks

Elly Muncey

plsss listen to strategy by twice (song played in movie) and react to their other stuff (this is for, talk that talk, etc)

Brian

I’ve been waiting for this one🥳

Alexis

As a long time kpop fan, I love that this movie has made the korean music scene more accessible to mainstream audiences

reydua

LOVEEE THIS!! I've been a fan of Kpop for some years now, and this is such fun and (partially) true representation, specially the songs, so I love that a lot of people are enjoying them, they could get into it too!! Kpop fans and in general doesn't have a great reputation, so I love that this is so hyped up. a lot of the songs of the movie are inspired by real groups, like ENHYPEN for saja boys and IVE for golden, u should check them out; and of course BTS, le sserafim and a lot of other groups tbh but that's just my personal wants hsha. I hope this does at least create a curiosity in u for Kpop but do prepare urself for a lot

Donatella

i’ve been WAITING for this! i’m so happy you love it 😭

sarahorgann

The song you liked on 22:22 is Strategy - Twice (ft. Megan thee Stallion. Def worth checking out 🥳

Karen Ang

please do some deep dives into some kpop groups would love to see it

BigGav505

You definitely have to pay for lightsticks lol they're unique to each group so fans will typically only get their fav group's lightstick which can be synced at the concert venue, I think they're usually around $50ish but I could be wrong

Kayla Sohl

Netflix robbed us of an extra 1.5 hours of animation cause they didn't think people would watch it if it was longer 😭

Jade

I agree he would love them sm

J Nicole

desperately need you to listen to exo rn

rosie

So glad you reacted to this!! I knew you’d love it!

Duhnay

Omg I’m so glad you watched this!!!!! Can’t wait for the sequel!

Kaitlyn Riley

I feel robbed, because I would totally watch this movie for 3 hours

Ash Sisi

rumi's singing voice is EJAE! she was an SM trainee but she never had the chance to debut, so she left and became a producer and songwriter. i think she wrote free and your idol! she also made songs for Red Velvet, aespa, Taemin, etc.

nehir kaya

It's your sign to step into the kpop world lmao. Twice is definitely a good start since they have a wide variety of genres and have 10 albums and 14 mini albums. But there's also Le Sserafim, Aespa, Itzy, IVE, Ateez and TXT are similar to the Saja Boys. But I will have to fight if you only react to Blackpink and BTS.

Artemis Delphinia

oh boy you would love twice, ive, le sserafim and ateez

cami ☆

Troy I can’t even tell you what I would give for you to react to stray kids 😩😩😩 they’re self produceddddd

mia arredondo

ALSO this movie was supposed to be like 3 hours long and things got CUT. SO ANY BLANK SPOTS. yeah. thanks to whoever made that decision which I think was Netflix?? 10/10 regardless but

Sky

feeling so validated in my love for this movie

Sky

I wisshhhhh we got light sticks for free dang lol. If you like Huntrix, I recommend girl groups like Everglow, (g)-idle, and ITZY. If you like stuff like Soda Pop, I recommend TXT and ZeroBaseOne. If you like Your Idol I recommend ATEEZ, Stray Kids and EXO (who did the song when Saja Boys was introduced).

Ashley Nicole

deadass, the best song in the movie

hammy

i’m literally dying to explain how K-pop fan culture works to this man lol this was awesomeee I actually screamed when I saw the thumbnail

nut buddy ~★

Also the lightsticks at concerts are not free 😭 they cost like upwards of $100 💀🥴

bea <3

The aparience of Jinu is inspired by Cha Eun Woo member of astro and mega actor, he made a cover of the song Free with Arden Cho the actual voice of Rumi and we all were super excited please see it there is an interview and song https://youtu.be/g7FMbINCKFk?si=ZQQ3u9naui6gh_Yq https://youtu.be/K5cOvVrHo0Q?si=7MnDz7nRc8bGjggZ

Gloria Ortiz Suchilt

Dude u have no idea how much my worlds are colliding rn. Bruh I neeeeeeeeeeed more Troy & kpop 😤

bea <3

Hi Troy!!!! I was so EXCITED to see you react to this movie. I recently have just gotten into kpop and it is like a new world. Twice just headlined at lolla this year so hopefully you can react to that as well because they were the first girl kpop group to do it. After watching you react to this movie, you should really ease your way into it because you have like the right understanding of it and would hopefully enjoy it. It would be really fun to see you enjoy some of their music, even their concepts and dance videos you know. Plus, as someone who just got into it, I only have like one friend who listens to kpop so it would be super cool to see someone enjoy it as much as "the fans" do.

Lydia Strohmeier

I love that he appreciates FREE. I am still surprised how its not more popular.

Alex Engstrom

It sounds like you need to react to Strategy by TWICE 😏

Maria

OMG YES

Jaymee Amaya

You should watch Building the band on Netflix, it was the last project of Liam Payne. At least the performances! I wanna know your opinion on the bands pleaseee

Francisca Cumian

I’m so glad you didn’t sleep on this! I’ve tried not to hype it up too much when I recommend it, but it’s so hard cuz IT’S SO GOOD.

Alex

Hey! The song that plays when they're "on a break" is Strategy by TWICE and the song that plays when the Saja Boys first appear is Love Me Right by EXO :D

Thank you for feeding us!!!! 🫰🏼

Caitlin Adamcik

I've been waiting for your reaction to this movie and omg you didn't disappoint! thank you so much for an amazing reaction! After having watched this like 10 times now, here some things i noticed that's just so amazing and make this movie better and better each time you watch it. Jinu was human and is not a full demon (that's what i believe) and that's why he would be able to stay in the human world if the Honmoon was sealed. He sold his soul to the demon king for a better life but the demon king actually took his body too cause he didn't do right by his family and was selfish. I also think Jinu got his soul back during the duet of "Free", he turned some of the Honmoon blue and it lighted up under his feet on the roof. If he was a full demon he wouldn't have a soul and it wouldn't light up the Honmoon. And last but not least, his soul is now with Rumi and i believe that she would be the only one who could bring him back, i think her sword is his soul and i think she is the only one who can still feel him. He loved her so much, he wasn't scared of death but he was scared of losing her and leaving her behind like he did his family. In the end he had hope, he was also holding the bracelet of "hope" she gave him and i think he decided to give his soul to her so she wouldn't be alone. Also i have noticed how Jinu always looks at Rumi with his human eyes ***cry***. I just think he regretted his choice and couldn't do it again.

Cookiee

you should react to bts!!

jimin’s cheeks

Me and My son had so much fun watching KDH with you.

Alyssa

Well that was an uplifting 2 hours! You're still the best reactor on Patreon/YouTube/any platform, thanks mate

David Bayes

Seeing this upload notification in my inbox literally made my day!

Rebecca Simon

OH MY GOD THATS SO GOOD

hammy

YAAAAY

krissy

The hype for "What It Sounds Like" is so deserved! my favourite song on the soundtrack. Also the creators originally planned on this being a 3 hour movie but Netflix made them cut it down, which is why parts of the story seem rushed/ some of the world building is missing. They've confirmed they're making it a trilogy though! And a live action which literally no one wants lmao.

Gemma Brogan

pls we gotta get you to react to stray kids, i need your reaction to the felix effect

Bella

The way that i have been HOPING you'd do this react.

Gemma Brogan

Will we get a Twice stream in the future 👀 they never miss especially the title tracks!!

Blue Teaa

Golden was #1 on Spotify, and it hit #1 on Apple Music, #1 on the UK charts, they are the first female group to get a #1 on billboard in HISTORY, they broke so many records it’s absolutely insane!! ✨

Blue Teaa

Yasss!!! Knew you would love it! “Can we put on K-pop demon hunters?”… Me- “Yes, Hthaze version!”

Lynette

Twice just headlined Lollapalooza this past week, I recommend giving it a watch if you're up for it, it's incredible to watch them perform. After they finished their set they had drones spell out "The Honmoon is sealed."

honeyboy

An interesting fact someone found out was that the girls are animated 1 pose per 2 frames but the saja boys are animated fluidly changing poses per frame to further the effect that they’re “otherworldly”

Jessica Thompson

in my opinion this is one of the best movies of the past few years

Bayley

2:59 People actually buy the light sticks either online or they sell them at stores and kiosks outside the venues

Kona

Omg I’ve been waiting for this!! I knew you’d love it!

Iris Porter

IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THISSS FOREVER! IM SO HAPPY THANK YOU SO MUCHH

Janessa Cruz

If you actually think about the lyrics of Soda Pop it’s literally about them sucking out the souls of their fans and “drinking” them 😂 it’s so sinister underneath the bubblegum pop vibes

Anna Renshaw

Please go look up the actual singers for the movie! Twice sings Strategy and the credits version of Takedown! Look up Ejae!

Isabel Victoria

I’ve been waiting for this one oh my gosh!! So glad you enjoyed it! Get ready for those songs to be stuck in your head for days!

Patricia Goff

Yeeees! Love this!

Marília Molina

From what I gathered, you become a demon when you listen too much to the insecurities and the doubts in your head and create shame around it (as well as letting Gwima fuel them). That happened to Jinu around what he did to his family so he became a demon.

SFM

IM SO HYPED YOU WATCHED THIS

Audrey Nicole

Netflix is planning on riding this success as far as it can go. They are doing sequels and supposedly a series? Not sure but there will definitely be more content

Cam

I NEED a stream where u just react to kpop 😩😩😩😩

nadia

Someone pointed out that Jinu was probably the one to teach those two demons the choreography for takedown which is hilarious to me

Cam

This made me so so happy. THANK YOU!!!

Lauren

She produces a lot of popular kpop songs

Cam

The producer EJAE is the singer for Rumi and she also wrote and produced the majority of the songs in the movie

Cam

I'm so happy you watched!! I don't know if you'll see this but for some of the questions you asked. Netflix has said they have plans for sequels and related projects with the creators so they are in development and we have more KPDH to look forward to! Also Arden Cho is the speaking voice for Rumi, but EJAE is the singing voice. EJAE was also part of the songwriting team for the movie! TWICE did that version of Takedown for the credits but they are not the singers for the songs in the movie. That's been confused a lot on social media. EJAE sings for Rumi, Audrey Nuna sings for Mira, and Rei Ami sings for Zoey.

hazeltheG

i saw this before the end i forgot it said it already lmao

Snow

The song you liked at the beginning was “Strategy” by TWICE, and the ending credits version of Takedown was also sung by three of their members (Chaeyoung, Jeongyeon, and Jihyo) which they actually just performed at Lolla. If you liked them i’d recommend doing a deep dive into twice they’re a great beginner kpop group :)

Snow

So glad you watched this! Such a great movie and I'm so glad even tho you'd seen so much all the little twists still shocked you lol

Nikki H

ah yes just when my obsession with this movie started to subside Troy drops this and gets me right back into it

Ashton Garabedian

sooo glad that Troy watched and loved the whole thing!

Leah Dwyer

live view of your soul getting absolutely SNATCHED

Ava Baumgardner

For answers to your questions about the award shows: there are weekly awards shows that are broadcast by different stations every day. So say like NBC has theirs Mondays, CBS on Tuesdays, ABC on Wednesdays and so on. Winners are decided based on various factors such as fan voting, song sales, etc. Think of it kind of like TRL from back in the day on MTV. Various groups will perform their newest singles on a smallish stage in front of a few hundred or so fans in the studio. The Idol Awards they referenced would be kind of like the BBMAs, AMAs, VMAs. So a once yearly show where several awards are announced for various categories and large scale stage performances take place.

EB

I highly recommend looking into everything for this movie. The cultural references and little details that they include. It took them 9 years to create this film.

Robyn

this one is so so so amazing, Ejae kills it singing for Rumi! I cannot even begin to tell you how much i have listened to the soundtrack lmao

Mavaenn

YESSSSSSS LETS GOOOOO!!!!

Cuttlefish_Queen

COUCH! COUCH! COUCH! (I know what I’m doing tonight 😈🩷)

Mari Smith

im assuming rumi thought the honmoon wouldnt take jinu because he also started out human? similar to how celine told rumi the golden honmoom would basically eradicate her demon side but she would still remain on our side? lots to think about . . .

Talah

im so happy you decided to watch this movie!!! it instantly became a favourite for me and the sound track has been on repeat since i watched it however, yeah i seriously want some background lore on the inner workings of demon kind i guess?

Ava Baumgardner

The "Strategy" song you liked in the penthouse is Strategy by TWICE! You should definitely give the full song a listen some time, it's featuring Megan Thee Stallion!

aster

The soda pop reaction is so valid

Ava Baumgardner

When Mr. Haze posts musical videos, I usually do my cardio, walk during the talking, run during the songs, including all the rewinds and pauses. This was level impossible and I’m not even done. Lovely work though Mr. Haze and honestly this movie deserves all the pauses and rewinds.

Ripppamber

This is exactly something I wanted to watch you react to 💗😭
