I feel like it captures the vibe of being a woman in your late-20s, early-30s, where you've got friends in crazy different stages of life and it feels like everything around you is a rush

2024-04-15 00:30:51 +0000 UTCI really wish I liked the Maggie record more than I do! HIIAPL was an instant favorite album of mine in 2020. Surrender took almost a year to click with me, but even now, there's only one song that really hits me like HIIAPL does in its entirety. And so far, Don't Forget Me also seems to lack resonance. The sound & instrumentation are right up my alley, but I'm having trouble finding substance in the laidback, easygoing feel. I'm still completely enamored with the title track, but otherwise, I'm finding everything to be a bit... forgettable. Even the Zane Lowe interview isn't helping me connect with the music! But I'll still be giving this album more time & see what, if anything, changes :)

2024-04-14 23:55:22 +0000 UTCi love the maggie album but its probably my least favorite of her three. she said in an interview they wrote the whole thing in 5 days - two songs a day, in track order and used almost all first or second takes and i think you can kinda of feel that breeziness in the album. you should definitely check out surrender tho its a very different vibe!

I thinknits common for him to react to things that he both likes and dislikes. Nonetheless, we're still getting great content from him, so I won't complain
