Not sure I can agree with SM-3 Block IIA being a "better" missile than SM-6. They're not equivalent. SM-3 Block IIA does one job -- BMD primarily in the midcourse phase. SM-6 does many jobs -- SAM, terminal phase BMD, and both land and naval attack. One is not better than the other, they're two completely different weapon systems designed for two completely different mission sets.
