Looking at these and the speed at which they're building them and comparing it with my own country's buiding capability (UK) we're screwed.... It really is amazing how quickly Chinese have upagraded and developed their designs and how capable they are. Can't help thinking the only way to defeat the Mach 3 missile is to have a fully automatic system that sticks something with equivalent energy going the other way - a bit like a massive shotgun...

Aaron, you mentioned that the Towed Array sonar can go active as well as passive. Don't towed arrays have a vulnerability to detaching at higher speeds? Wouldn't this be a distinct disadvantage in a battle involving high speed maneuvering?
