It was a different era, when China was friendly to many countries, including the West. They bought Western equipment, licenced some, copied some. With that experience, they got to where they are now. They do hack and steal some info now and then. But they do work hard and you see that they are doing good R and D in many areas. And their economy can support it. You got to respect them for that and work hard to keep up.

I’m sure the reason that is there, is to demonstrate to governmental observers that nothing in the brief is classified - all facts are attributed to open source. Consider it a COA. It’s a necessity

I disagree having the sources section is professional and fair to the original authors. Having a sources section was required for any academic paper I've done.

negative much? Geez.

Hey Aaron, thank you for that Shipbrief. As a new Patreon I might have missed a similar discussion/suggestion so please bear with me on this one. Would it be possible to put the metric values of e.g. length and beam etc next to it? like 486ft (148m)? And at 5000 miles at 15kts I guess you mean nautical miles? In any event thank you for the shipbrief. As always a pleasure to watch!

Thank you for not doing that stupid sources bit that always took way too long.

Aaron can you please do the uss zumwalt and all it’s technology!!! It’s such a fascinating ship. I can’t get enough of your videos. Hire a team and grow the channel

Did our government try to dissuade GE from selling China LM2500's originally. With all of the copying/stealing technology that China does, I don't know why we would allow the sale of gas turbine engines to them.
