This story is gut wrenchingly hard to write and record. This tragedy is compounded with incompetency, lies and a failed cover up that simply made the loss of these brave sailors that much more painful for the families. I try to write without emotion, just the facts, but the Kursk event is personal.

There's a movie on Netflix called The Command that's about the crew that survived the sinking and what went on above and below in the following days. It's pretty good.
