In June 2017, we started as a naval video game streamer who crowded funded studio quality equipment. Within 2 years, we had a fully functional, High-Definition quality broadcasting studio.
In August 2019, this channel began rewarding Patrons who founded the studio with historical, fact-based, non-political assessments of Cold War-era submarine classes. The first one was Australia’s Collins-class submarine. These are immensely popular and continue to be the core content going forward.
In June 2020, Dawn and I were able to move into our dream home in Michigan. This was the first time I had a separate recording studio and a production/research office. We had done it! But, we quickly realized the internet service there was 1990's dial-up! Yes, dial-up speeds are still in thing in some parts of the United States in 2020.
In December 2020, we were able to move into our dream home 2.0 in Michigan, lol. This time with the internet! Two moves in one year were prohibitively expensive and we could not have done it without your support.
Marking our 4th anniversary this month has given me a moment of reflection. Thank you for being here with me. We have many stories to tell in the coming years and I look forward to sharing it with you.
As of today, anyone can join the channel using the annual membership option at the sign-up front page. I hesitated at implementing this when it was introduced last year because I was not sure my internet bandwidth would allow me to continue. I got a new internet provider and bandwidth is no longer an issue. The Sub Briefs will continue.
I hope my story inspires you to chase your passion. There will be hard times and failures. Just don't stop. Never stop moving forward.

Absolutely addicted to all things submarine and totally full of respect for men of all nations who descend into the depths in defense of their countries. Your Sub Briefs have provided hours and hours of fascinating viewing for me, both here and on YouTube. They are also driving my librarian nuts trying to track down some of the books I’ve asked for. She finally read one after I was through and is slowly becoming hooked as well lol!

I remember getting addicted to the Cold Waters stuff back in the day and things have evolved so much since then. Hope for nothing but continued success in everything you do bud... except the F1.
